Anong mas okay? Yung fuel save gasoline ng shell or yung XCS ng petron?

Was with my mother and she really wanted the Civic lol. Didn't help that the 2-18 Altis 1.6 variants only had that horrible brown/beige interior color.

Have to schedule a test drive for the Civic though, maybe next week.

Now doing research on fuel consumption, is it correct that the Altis 1.6 G/V and Civic 1.8 E have comparable fuel consumption given the same conditions? How does the Civic compare to the City? Is it a night and day difference. Based on the numbers I have below 12% better ang City vs Civic, which translate to around 2.2k yearly difference given my work to home route (for me this price difference is negligible).

Been basing the FC's I have on ************ reviews:

    2017 Civic 1.8 E - 8.78 km/L * 16 km/h
    2017 Altis 2.0 V 7.93 km/L * 13 km/h (I'm assuming the 1.6 V/G variant would be a bit more economical)
    2018 Honda City 1.5 VX Navi 9.82 km/L * 12 km/h

I'll mostly be using the car for city driving going to from work and going out on weekends, maybe the occasional road trip with a few people.

Personally, the Civic is my choice but a bit hesitant on the fuel consumption (before this my preconception on the CIVIC that it liked drinking alot of gas ).

My driving style btw is tame no fast acceleration and no hard braking. I've never driven out of the city, not sure how I'd fare driving in express ways/provincial roads.

Hoping to get input from the Civic 1.8 E owners here, how is your FC. Better than expected, below or just right? Does eco mode help? Help me decide heheh

I have a Civic 1.8E and my previous car was an Altis 1.6G. The Civic is easily the better car.

Fuel consumption of the Civic and Altis are about the same, even if the Civic makes significantly more power. I get around 8 km/L in city driving for both cars.

Even if the Civic and Altis V cost about the same, the Civic feels much more premium inside, and is much more of a head-turner from outside. The Civic also has better handling without compromising ride comfort.

So far, maintenance is also cheaper with the Civic because Honda only requires 10,000 km maintenance intervals compared to Toyota's 5,000 km. Space is about the same for both cars, but the Altis feels more spacious because of the color scheme and flat rear floor.

Now compared to the City VX, it's absolutely no contest - the Civic is a class higher and it shows in terms of looks, performance, ride quality, space, and overall appeal. The 200k difference between them is well worth it.

Pareho naman silang ok pero mas angat xcs kaysa fuel save dahil sa ron. Ang katapat ng fuel save ay xtra same sila 91 ron. Sa xcs naman ay v power nitro same sila 95 ron.

Thank you Sir for the input and for suggesting the Civic in the Altis thread hehe. Already 90% decided on the Civic. Hopefully the wait isn't too long though given the demand.

Sirs sa opinion niyo, experience and word of mouth, what generation ng honda civic ang the best? in terms of performance, reliability and maintenance-cost?

can't go for a brand new because of budget, so tingin sa mga 2nd hand. honda civic sana.

2012 up, edi isang generation lang ng Civic yun, which is the 9th gen (FB).

I would suggest going for a 2009-2011 facelifted 8th gen (FD) Civic. Cheaper but drives better and looks better, plus it's more common on the road so better parts availability. Mechanics are also familiar with the usual problems - engine mounts, power steering, etc - so fixes should be easy.

Sa honda shaw ako dati nagpa pdr for my fd 7 years ago. Okay ung pagkakagawa.

Same thing happened to me. Another dealer is offering a higher cash discount. I told them na I already picked another dealer but insisted to reserve for me without a fee (just gave personal details). My preferred dealer did not ask for a reservation fee as well since I already have a bank PO. Waiting for a month already...

P.S. I just saw a Civic SI here in Vegas and it was converted to a Taxi! [emoji33] too bad I forgot to take a picture after feeling sorry for the car as it had the advertisements all over its body

You should see what they do with Audis, BMWs and Mercedes cars in Germany...
