Actually they gave me 10K cash discount already pero I'm asking for additional 10K . They told me na they can't grant me additional 10K cash but instead offered PMS on my 6th month worth 8K. However, I have to shell out additional 2,500 for full windshield tint kasi I was requesting for 3M colorstable instead of the default FX. Turns out it will just cancel out on my PMs on the 6th month since I will only be able to use 3,800 of the 8K budget, afterwich it gets expired. I am asking if I can use the balance for my succeeding PMs but I have a feeling it's not possible. They are telling me that it's more difficult to get cash discounts after the July price increase. Any experience from anyone here?

My 10,000 km PMS was less than 3k.

is the dealer giving it to you, free? as in, gagawin nila yung pms ng kotse mo, valued at 8K, at absolutely no charge to you?
if so, go for it! what have you got to lose!

Yeah for free; 8K budget but in reality less than 3K worth of PM only. It's better than nothing at all.

Just to add for those also on the hunt: I'm also getting permashine, hydrophilic paint protection (not sure what's the difference) full undercoat + the standard freebies.

Thanks for all those who replied 🙂

    ah!
so what you mean is, if you buy the car, dealer promises to do your 10K pms, which they have valued at 8000 bucks, absolutely free!
they will provide all the consumeables and replaceables, free!

Yes, that's correct. On the flip side I'm also not wishing to have parts getting replaced amounting to 8K cause it would mean I got a lemon. Standard I guess is just change in fluids and a few checkpoints hence less than 3K for non-fully synthetic I guess.

Agree that it's an added protection just in case warranty will not cover. I've claimed Honda warranties in the past both major and minor but never had problems claiming as long as you are under the warranty period and did not tamper your car, albeit approval takes a while. My goal actually is not to have warranty claims as it is time consuming and makes me feel I got a lemon..but that's just me [emoji846]

Instead of PMS as a freebie, perhaps you can ask for others instead. Like a trunk liner, all-weather floor mats, tailpipe finishers (stock tailpipes look bad), illuminated step sill garnish, etc.

Is this on top of the usual free LTO 3 years registration and TPL? Did they give you free comprehensive cover?

This is 1.8 WOP - it is a fast seller so might be a factor in getting discounts. I only got free LTO registration and I pay the TPL. Insurance is not free but they matched my bank's offer with Acts of Nature coverage.

I tried hard to get these but failed due to stricter dealer policies after the July price increase. All I got was 10K cash discount. Demand has also increased due to upcoming excise tax.

Not sure if this has been tackled here already but just want to ask for recommendations for a good dash cam.

    - best model for PH weather
    - how to enable parking mode (hacking your way to the battery), will it void the warranty?
    - reliability, value for money

    thanks in advance.

From what I read, a good dashcam for PH weather are those with capacitors (instead of batteries) due to our hot climate especially during the summer. Batteries tend to explode on high temperatures and will likely be exposed to such when we leave our vehicles out under the sun. Its also mentioned that Japanese capacitors are the good ones to get as probably it is of a much higher quality.

For myself, though I am yet to purchase one, I will be buying the Viofo A119S. Though this one is not really made for parking mode. You can purchase one here. Just to add, I'm not advertising for them.

I heard good reviews for this dashcam, specifically from CarCamCentrak

Will the Yi Dashcam survive the hot PH weather? Saw TGP did an article about this once.

Well, the new Civic Type R comes in MT. You can wait for the next batch as the initial batch of 100 is already reserved.

I don't think the ASEAN region will get an MT version for the 1.8L NA or 1.5L turbo anytime soon. The US market gets MT versions for both the 2.0L NA and 1.5L turbo models.
