I would definitely want the Type R front end and side profile added to my normal Civic if I had one [emoji28]
But the rear end is a bit too much for me.

I've driven countless cars over the past few years and each car type really has its advantages and disadvantages.
PPVs, sedans, CUVs, pickups, MPVs - all of them have their pros and cons although of course the car buying public has its preferences.
For many, PPVs are the best all-rounders. Subcompacts also sell well because of the low price point. The subcompact CUV/MPV segment is growing significantly because it serves as an "upgrade" from subcompact without paying the price of a PPV. Pickups are also a staple because they offer the same height and ruggedness of a SUV at a cheaper price.
Compact/midsize sedans and CUVs which were once the crowd favorites are now just niche market vehicles. Most people will buy a subcompact CUV/MPV for thr price of a compact sedan, and most people will buy a PPV for the price of a CUV.
There will always be outliers here and there but if you look at the big picture as represented by the sales numbers, that's how the market rolls nowadays.
At the end of the day - different strokes for different folks. We have our opinions about cars but bottomline is to keep our sharing respectful and avoid the rampant fanboyism.

PPVs sell well because they are diesels ... The Honda CR-V 5th gen with 1.6 diesel engine might change that ... If only Honda could keep up with the demand ... Hope Subaru would come out with their diesel variants also ... Mazda should sell a 4x2 version of the CX-5 at a lower price ...
There's no supply problem. I can get a CRV diesel right now if I walked into a Honda dealership. If you're planning on buying one, I can link you to folks at Honda.
It's demand that's not enough. People prefer the physically bigger PPVs than the CRV even if both are diesel. To the layman, di hamak naman na mas macho ang Fortuner kaysa CRV. The more rugged nature of a PPV (panglubak, pangbaha) appeals more than the more refined approach of the CRV or any other crossover.
The CRV is by far the best selling compact CUV in the market right now (not including subcompact CUVs). But as successful as it is by CUV standards, it's still a niche product if you look at the big picture.

I expect as our road quality improves and more upwardly mobile people increase in number, demand for CUVs will also increase.
In my case, nothing wrong with owning both as my normal routes sometimes require the sturdiness and flood wading capability of a PPV even if I prefer the nimbler handling and better ride quality of a CUV.
At least Honda and Mazda are selling diesel versions of their CUVs. Subaru has decided to let get rid of their diesel and MT models as its sales are quite low.
It is really a choice that the buyer has to make when buying a vehicle. Choosing something practical and frugal over something comfortable or something performance-oriented.

Finally got the 2 cars washed after 2 weeks [emoji23]
Also got to try out the cheapo LED fogs I bought from Lazada. Di naman nakakasilaw sa oncoming cars but also has little road illumination. [emoji28]

Nauto ako ng 9.9 sale ng Lazada ah - nakasale pa pala siya hanggang ngayon. [emoji23]
I got these bulbs because COB LED na vs the older SMD, and the relatively low 36W consumption. But output is weak and cutoff is non-existent. Buti nalang mahina siya kaya hindi nakakasilaw. [emoji23]

Thanks sir jut, bulb lang pala ito, wala pa kasing housing yung sa akin, civic fb bare model kasi
Yeah it functions like a DRL because kalat yung beam with no clear cutoff.
So far I haven't gotten any high beams from oncoming cars, but I think that there are better bulbs out there. For sure the Philips Ultinon LEDs have better light dispersion but they also cost 20x more.
All of the stuff sold in Lazada are generic so it's hard to determine which of these china-made LEDs have well-designed bulbs that have good cutoff.

Hi guys! I asked Honda Manila Bay for a quotation on 20,000 KM PMS for my 1.8E, kindly share me your knowledge on what can I remove from this list? If there’s any I could still remove
Thank you so much! [emoji846]

engine oil.
oil filter.
washer.
this is all i would authorize, if i were me.
the air filter can probably be purchased and installed outside the casa, at substantial savings.
i would also instruct them to "keep away from my engine coolant, brake fluid and windshield washer". these may be serviced at substantial savings outside, maybe even free. one can even do it at home.
filter element CV07-11 ? what's that? if that's the in-tank fuel filter... i don't think that should be changed at 20K km, unless you have symptoms of fuel starvation. our fuels are cleaner now.
good luck.
Blade = P229 yun 1 Gallon windshield washer. Not concentrate tho, just pour.![]()
