in my non-honda, a part was slowly failing. when i had casa replace it (out of warranty na, as it was failing sooo slowly) after 3 years, the replacement part is still ok after 9 years.
Seems like an isolated case. Haven't seen anyone with the same problem in the Civic FC Facebook groups nor in the forums.

My Civic has very high mileage (51,000 km) and is driven over a very wide range of road conditions so I expect accelerated wear and tear as well. But so far nothing has broken down aside from this engine mount.

The old Civic FD was also notorious for having weak engine mounts. Same with my Mazda 3 2.0R.

Ok na rin because it's a very straightforward fix. At least it's not an engine or transmission problem which is harder to diagnose and more expensive to fix.

Cheap fix though and the turnaround time was just 36 hrs so I'm happy with Honda's service.

Was this leaking fluid, sir? For non-fluid filled rubber components, a hobo & lasting approach would be to fill the voids w/ PU seal for more solid & direct feel. The drawback would be a slight bump in NVH.

Visually no leaks. It was only when the warranty specialist tore down the parts and tested if they were still within standards did they find that the engine mount needed to be replaced.

Rattling/dribbling sound when going over uneven roads (but not deep potholes). Pag malalim yung lubak, the shocks would absorb the impact properly. But if it's something like the uneven asphalt pag tinatapalan yung daan, dun siya nagrarattle.

Just the rattling sound I described in my previous post. Also the car shakes when in reverse and revved above 1500 rpm.

The sound and vibration were actually intermittent but I'm very OC with my car so I had it checked early on. My fiance didn't even notice there was anything wrong.

No pics? I looked at what Vibra-Technics has...none for the CivicX yet. They make really good & lasting mounts.

None eh. I left the car with them late last Monday and picked it up yesterday. I trust the guys over at Honda QC naman.

I have my Mazda for when I feel like tinkering by myself. Mas maraming sira yun, but thankfully with patience and luck we were able to sort it out and the Mazda is actually track-ready. It even clocked in a faster laptime than my Civic. [emoji23]
