Sorry, Doc. I mean no offense. Was just replying to Walter's comment that a clumsy physician is worse than a clumsy IT. A sarcastic remark for my sister.

I have a few questions for Jut703 and other Civic owners/daily drivers.
1. How do you adjust your settings for the rain-sensing wipers? When I adjust the wipers to the least sensitive, the wipers still wipe fast. I have to turn it off at times and just do manual quick wipes. I'm afraid to scratch my windshield. I don't have tint in front by the way.
2. Is there a way to bypass or adjust the auto dimming rear view mirrors? I have medium 3M "magic" at my rear and yet I get dazzled at night, most especially when there's a PPV behind me.
3. For RS owners, how do you remove and prevent watermarks on your piano black front grill?
4. For the rear seat folding feature, I noticed that when I pull the lever to fold the seats from the trunk, I have to go around to "manually" fold the seats. I thought that the seats are supposed to spring forward to fold automatically.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
1. Mine aren't rain-sensing (just variable intermittent), but sometimes if the sensitivity is too much even with the lowest setting, I just do manual wipes but not by flicking up (fast wipe) but by just clicking down and up again. I also make sure that the wipers are free of dust before using them.
2. Can't comment on the auto dimming feature since mine is manual, and when I use the night mode it doesn't blind me anymore.
3. I use Microtex QD to wipe off stains on the grill. More bothersome than watermarks for me are insects, which are really hard to remove.
4. I just push the seats after releasing the lever, but yes they don't fold automatically.

1. I just leave it at auto and minimum setting. Same with lights, auto lang lagi. Set and forget. Wala pa namang gasgas. Pede mo sya i convert into "variable intermittent" if takot ka magasgas, nasa vehicle settings sya.
2. Wrap around clear tints ako, no issues naman. Baka sira? Dalawa sensor nya, meron sa harap ambient light sensor and sa likod ung glare sensor. Isa lang masira dyan di na gagana electrochromic system.
3. Sealant every 6months and monthly wax c/o bigberts lang. In between i use mothers na QD.
4. Di talaga sya otomatic.
2. Your auto dimming mirror has two sensors, one behind the mirror which senses daylight, and one in front sensing headlights from cars behind you. Either sensor malfunctioning won't dim the mirror. You can try this experiment, cover the sensor behind the mirror, then shine a flashlight on the front sensor. You will notice the mirror gradually darkens. The only way you can bypass auto dimming is by unpowering the mirror.
Same sentiments here. I much prefer intermittent wipers with manually adjustable frequency. The rain sensor on the RS is too sensitive in its least sensitive setting, resulting in continuous wiping even with little rain.
I installed a long convex mirror over the rear view mirror for added rear view coverage, which is far more important for me than auto dimming.
My dealer is giving me an 8K worth of PMS on 10,000kms or after 6 months as freebie. Is it worth it? Their telling me the 6th month PMS would cost around 8K. Any inputs would be appreciated.
