That's the same difference as the 215/55R16 vs 215/50R17 on the RS.

Did you notice any significant change in ride quality and handling between the 16s and 18s?

So what top speed did you manage? There used to be a 200 kph club in TeamFD. Baka dapat gawa rin tayo dito.
You can buy interior cubby hole mat kit at clifford for 1k pesos.

Nope. That's only for the USDM Civic I think. Saw the article about that, doesn't apply to PHDM Civics.
Yup, that appears to be the case. The lower trim LX and the coupe HB also doesn't get it in the US. Thanks for checking sir jut! By the way, the center console mat (with design at the back) is being sold by dealers in the US for only $3.

It's actually pretty good value considering you get custom-fit textured rubber mats for just about any interior flat surface. The only downside is I find the design too tacky for the 1.8 E. It would probably look right at home with the Si or Type R. Thanks sir for the heads up, sir! Ngayon napapa tingin tuloy ako sa ibang kits and accessories doon.

There's a difference, but not significant.

Potholes are more pronounced with the 18s. With the 16s, even the notorious truck lane on C5 was quietly absorbed.

Handling is sharper with the 18s as turn-in feels quicker. Not sure how good the Hankooks are on the 16s, but my current Kumhos give really good grip and feel predictable at the limit.

I got 18s primarily for the looks, but the improved handling is a worthy tradeoff for the less cosseting ride.

Thank you! Since I'm considering upgrading my stock 17s to 18s, I'm wondering if the excellent ride quality will be adversely effected or if the difference will be negligible.

I will still probably go with Yoko Advan DB tires (like the OEM tires) for quietness and comfort.

The Yoko Advan DBs aren't the grippiest Advans. Would suggest the Advan Fleva V701 instead, much cheaper too.

Have not tried the new Fleva. But that's what I'll be getting when my current set wears out. Car is currently at 3000 km (in 3 weeks lol) so a pretty long way to go before I'll need to change tires.

Been a silent lurker here for quite sometime and its really a huge help for me what you guys talk about in here. Tracing the conversations even a year back (or more I think), is really educational with all the tips and info I can gather. Already had mine ordered as well just last week ago. Purchased a WOP 1.8E. Really looking forward in getting mine.

Thanks mga boss. Actually in-queue din ako. Given estimate by SA was 2 weeks minimum. Pero realistically sa dami ng nakapila dito pa lang, tingin ko more than that pa. For now, tingin tingin muna ng mga accessories in preparation for the car.

guys, need your advise. i am currently canvassing and reading reviews for service providers doing glass/ceramic coatings here in Metro Manila. but i am confused as to which is better. i'm looking for reasonable price with good quality (that would last up to 2-3 years).

Below are the current list that I have:
    - Mastermind Auto Lab - Php13,000
    - Technical Details - Php8,500
    - GMAN Car Care - Php18,800-23,500
    - Buff n' Grime Professional - Php25,000
    - Ziebart North EDSA - still waiting for their price
    - Manila Detailing Professionals - Php5,500 (if within promo period, with Php1,000 discount)

I find all their pictures and reviews to be fine, lahat makintab after coating. hahaha! I am just not sure which one really lasts and worth the price?

Interested in knowing the pros/cons of ceramic vs glass too. Which has the more 'bang for the buck' application?

Darating rin yan sir. But you have to be prepared to wait some more after your unit arrives at your dealer since the OR/CR will need to be processed before you can take the car out of the dealership.

I'm not sure whether this is a glitch or a security feature, but, I noticed that when you let your car sit in your garage for more than a day or so, the remote start will not function anymore. It only functions again when you get in your car and start the car normally (brake+push start). But, it can only work within a window of 1-2 hours, after that, it does not function anymore. I did this for 3 days and I began to notice this pattern. I even had the console rebooted by pressing the audio on/off button on the screen and hold it. Nada.

However, when you actually "drive" your car daily or even a short drive around your neighborhood, you won't have this problem at all. I tried this for 2 days and it always remote start without any problems. I even left it for more than 12 hours of not starting it and it remote starts every time.

I read the manual, but, I don't think there is any page with regards to remote start for our version.

Is this a safety/security feature or a glitch?

Even if your dealer checks it, I don't think they will find any problems at all as it will work fine because you have driven the car already. It's only when you let it sit in your garage for more than a day, the remote start is disabled automatically as far as I can analyze. I believe the car is put on sleep mode with minimal function with only the door unlock/lock/alarm on.

    What do you guys think?

I'd venture a guess. Maybe after sitting unused for a day or so, the battery voltage goes below a certain threshold where remote start won't work.

Some systems with proximity sensors turn off scanning after 2-3 days to preserve battery ...
