Pag uneven na ang distance ng media pleats at bended pa, as can be seen sa picture above, clogged na media, hirap na pass ang oil, baka malapot na.

Dubious B109 ito. Kasi cross ng B109 is Fleetguard LF 3433 and Vic C503. At that time bumili po ako kay Volmax, di ko alam ang cross ng ng C512 na para po sa crosswind ko na 2004 manual. Eto ibinigay sakin kasi sabi dun kasukat ng C512...
So kala ko po ok na. Ng madaan ako sa 8th st new manila...bumili ako reserba na fleetguard LF3433 kasi ng icheck ko nga po cross ng B109...LF3433 ang lumabas. Ng pagbili ko..aba...malaki masyado ang LF3433 para sa akin. Nagulat po ako. Pero pinaabot ko pa rin 8500 kms. Kasi ok na ok ADBV ni "B109". Patay agad ang oil lamp indicator. Kaso ng binuksan ko kanina....masyadong maluluwang ang paper media.
Took sample of the oil for UOA. May pang check isang tropa sa Team Isuzu Pilipinas.
Nakakadala....mag Tokio Roki Isuzu na lang ulit ako....
Nagpapalusot pa rin ata ng pekeng baldwin si V

Mga sir may tanong po ako tungkol sa baldwin oil filters magkaiba ba ang application ng full flow lub spin-on at dual flow lub spin-on? Anung pag kakaiba nila at anung system sila apllicable? maraming salamat sa sasagot.
Your filter's bottom plate looks like this in the pic so its likely genuine. Did it come with a box ? Should not be shrink wrapped.
This is the fake. Notice its shorter and fatter. Different looking font used. Even the Baldwin is a bit off in some areas. The bottom plate would like the VIC. Notice the shrink wrap, which is not normal for this type of Baldwin filter.

Iba nga ang itsura ng B109 sa itaas compared dun sa isa, halata sa print ng B109, spacing is different, pero may nabili ako B178, shrink wrapped siya pero genuine naman.

bumili ako 2 pcs na sirang hard drive for 100 pesos at yun ang kinabit ko sa drain plug..
IMHO, it's better on the filter. So that when it's time to change your filter, voila, lahat ng dumi na dumikit sa magnet kasamang matatapon. If you place it in the oil pan, there's a chance na hindi sya ma discharge during oil change kasi nag settle na sila sa bottom not unless kakalikutin mo sila.
I salvaged some magnets from the dead motors of power windows. Its quite chunky and its not quite flat.
I also got a big round magnet from the speaker of an old radio.
turbulent kasi sa loob ng oil filter( madalas may pressure differential) there is a good chance yung naipon na dumi might get dislodge simultaneously during the high revs pag mataas oil pressure tapos bigla bumaba pressure...
sa drain plug which is the lowest portion doon sa engine, especially dahil metal fragments sila, im thinking na doon mag settle...
plus hindi masayado turbulent doon dahil malayo sa pressure differential...
im thinking na yung drain plug doon kakapait yung mga pwede ma-magnet na particles, safely
yun ang rationale ko, although wala tayo definitive proof if even placing magnets does help... kakatuwa lang ilagay, parang it just makes sense hahahahaha...
Chook, FYI, in page 135 of this thread, according to number001, there is a bad reputation of Volmax selling fake Donaldson filters

Very informative thread.
I'm looking for a baldwin oil filter for dmax 08 4jj1. Do you have any info on that? Tried the links posted on the first 15-20 pages, but to no avail. It seems wala atang gumagamit ng baldwin for dmax, so any lead/s will be appreciated. Called Volmax and Clover, wala daw sila pang truck and heavy equipment lang daw.
