I have a supply of all viscosities and variants of ZIC lubricants, either by liters/gallons/pail and drum...

    FOR GASOLINE i have ZIC XQ 5W40/ ZIC A +5W30/ ZIC A10W40/ ZIC HIFLO20W50
    FOR DIESEL I HAVE ZIC XQ5000 15W40/ ZIC RV 10W30/ ZIC UP 10W40/ ZIC SD5000 15W40

yup Ry_Tower, i have Bardahl lubricants also... are you familiar with those? its a good product, im using it at my petrol pajero...their SYN-PULSAR SM fully synthetic...
I also carry their line up of lubricants....

"Also just want to clarify, is Bardahl Power DI+ mineral or semi-syn? " - if your asking about the POWER DI with the + sign,,, then its semi-synthetic... there is a lower version with the POWER DI only its the mineral...

you can PM me if you have inquiries,, to be honest i just started distributing lubricants a week ago... i got curious and tried it... tight now i carry 3 brands, ZIC, BARDAHL and GULF... i was able to talk to MObil 1 Philippines but their pricing is a bit steep and i think i couldn't compete with store prices... but their product is superb..

Bottom line that's some good oil, From what I could find looks like they get their Base stock from SK Industries which is no real surprise.

Like I said before you guys have plenty of good oils to get there locally that are much lower prices than Mobil or Motul, They also make a good line of additives as well.

Anyways Bardahl makes some really good oil and it's a 60% GROUP IV mixed with Group III .

A few others with differnt mixes.

    http://www.protexbybardahl.com/images/22900_XTC_100.pdf

Here's some facts if you look at it's MSDS on it's full synthetic 5w40 oil the XTC 5W-40 SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL.

HAZARDOUS COMPONENTS CAS NUMBER WEIGHT %
Hexanedioic acid, bis (2-ethyl hexyl) ester 103-23-1 <20 (Group III)

    1-Decene, homopolymer, hydrogenated 68037-01-4 <60 (GROUP IV OIL/POA) Same as mobil1.

    Diesel Engine Oils

    API EOLCS | Service

You can request a MSDS here
    Contact Bardahl

That stacks up well to most mobil1 oils.

Thanks sir miko. It's good to know that Bardahl Powerd DI+ is semi-syn. I"m familiar with this since a friend of mine who owns an auto shop is the local distributor here and he is giving me a good price. If it's semi-syn, I might try this instead of Top1 SDO since their both semi-syn naman.

    BTW you got a PM.

ZIC SD5000 and ZIC UP user here since 2010.

ZIC UP is really good. Experienced smooth engine response on my 2010 Mitsubishi Strada GLX 4x2 non-VGT even at 4,500 kilometers using OEM oil filter. ZIC SD5000 was already rough at 4,500 kilometers. Will see how it performs with a heavy duty oil filter. For around Php 200 per liter (selling price here at the province), it's quite affordable.

    Good day to all.

The manual for the 2.5-liter D4D engine says that motor oil capacity is at 6.9 liters or 7.3 quarts. Would it be okay if I just put in exactly 7 quarts? TIA.

Yep.. no need to worry about that 100ml difference, but still you need to visually check using the Dipstick to accurately know if you're not overfilling... the oil filter will be consuming oil also when first started after you're oil change ... its better to lack a little bit than to overfill...

I agree. As long as your oil reading is inbetween the Low and Full marking of the dipstick then you're fine (this represents the last, top up liter on your engine usually).
