August 12th, 2010 07:18 PM #1052Sir Dieseldude, kakaoverhaul ko lang ng diesel engine (4m40) ko three days ago. My engine has no black smoke na but pag nirev mo ung engine, umiingay ung engine. Parang naka fuel lock. Pag idle, it seems fine but pag bigla mo ni rev-up. Ang ingay talaga ng tunog niya parang knocking sound and seem not normal. what seems to be the problem? I already changed my nozzle tips and calibrated it.

Sir isuzu bighorn w/ 4JG2 engine.. Ung PCV is the breater diba po? Correct
its located naman na after the air filter and mdyo malayo ang distance sa filter, and nag install na din po ako ng oil catch can sa breater. Ang isang napansin ko ay may isang maliit na hose (size ng Vacum hose sa EGR valve) install from the top of the housing ng air filter na connected sa turbo. At what part of the turbo is this hose connected to? You may have your hose connections mixed up. Do you see oil or boost pressure coming out of this hose while the engine is running? (at idle and at maximum rpm) Sir I dont know if there's a boost but its dry and no mark of oil when I removed it, Its connected in the upper right side of turbo (when facing the engine)
ok lng po ba na temporarily remove this hose to see if it's the cause or it will harm the turbo if removed? I don't think it will harm your turbo. I'll try to removed this hose and see if there's an improvement, I'll also try to re-direct the PCV hose (from oil cath can outlet) to the ground and see if oil will still occur on my filter element.
Thanks

August 17th, 2010 07:57 AM #1058ako din naghahanap ng mekaniko ng bighorn..
symptoms:

Pag na-correct mo na and air leak at ganun pa din ang problem, the electronics have to be checked. Walang problem ang injectors mo.
Methinks the Battle of Carthage scene in Russel Crowe's Gladiator (yr. 2000) is a homage to that...
