kaya sana, DOE/LTO/DOTr can decide which charging standard ang gagamitin ng local malls and establishments. that way we can finally decide which EV to use.

Kainis naman kung mag-Japanese car ka tapos wala kang makitang CHAdeMO chargers

or bumili ka ng TESLA tapos walang NACS chargers kahit saan
Yan ang problema ngayon. Yung standardization ng Charging stations.
There are already charging stations as far as going to La union yata yun, some places up north but most wont allow adapters to their charging stations kaya lugi ka rin kung hindi compatible yung charging port.
you can download the "PlugShare" App in Ios or Android. it shows the location of charging stations in the Phil plus what type of port is available.

Shells has a few charging stations na available but feedback is the cost is very expensive. para ka na rin daw nag pa gas.

another problem a few EV owners has seen is that some Charging Stations in the malls are sometimes broken or may nag park na hindi naman EV or PHEV.

    Wow...EV chargers are so complicated.

Why the BYD Dolphin and Atto 3 take so long to charge? Here’s why | EV Guide | SoyaCincau

Most EVs from China such as the BYD Dolphin, BYD Atto 3, GWM Ora Good Cat and the Neta V come with a single-phase onboard charger and as a result, your charging speed on AC is not as fast as other mainstream brands which come with a three-phase onboard charger.

On paper, these EVs from China should support up to 7kW when plugged into an AC charge point. However, you might get a slower 3kW charging rate on a charger that’s labelled as 11kW. So what’s going on? Is the charge point operating ripping you off?

Why is the BYD Dolphin/Atto 3 slow to charge? Here's why | EV Guide

Hindi pala ok madalas na fast charging ss 100%. Mga 80% or 90% daw ok. Kaya siguro sa hybrid hindi aabot sa full charge ang battery pack.

That's a given with Lithium Ion batteries and the like ... including mobile phones, laptops, etc. ... stay within 20% to 80% for maximum battery life ...

Most EV batteries including most Tesla cars are only required to be charged from 20-80% regularly. They only recommended to be charged to 100% on long trips. This is one of the reasons why a lot are complaining of range because the regular EV battery is usually not supposed to be charged to 100%.

BYD cars and the base model 3 and Y of Tesla which uses BYD's blade batteries which can be fully charged to 100% regularly. advantage of newer battery technology.

Frequent high speed charging would also degrade the batteries faster than a regular slow Home charging.

An insightful column from Mr. Bean. I sometimes forget that this guy has a master's in Electrical Engineering and briefly pursued a PhD before going full-time on acting.
