Dumadami na talaga EVs sa Pilipinas. Sa mga global brands, mga nakita ko na sa roads are:

    Kia EV6
    Hyundai Ioniq 5
    Volkswagen ID4
    Audio e-tron GT
    Audi e-tron
    Tesla Model 3, S, Y and X

I think I also saw Porsche Taycan pero di ako sure kung Taycan talaga. Hehe

Pero for regular folks, Chinese EVs ang best option sa sobrang mahal ng non-Chineses EVs.
i like kia ev6 din.. if may budget at mag shift ako sa EV, yan kukunin ko hehe..

isa pa issue eh yung charging port.. parehas ba yan across brands? baka parang lightning vs micro usb ang labanan ng format nyan

There is a display of Kia EV6 sa Alabang Town Center. Exterior and interior design is pretty good.

Outside look is definitely better than Hyundai Ioniq.

Else, paso warranty if hindi mag follow.
Hopefully, mileage lang needed nila for the next PMS visit.
yun but the on board computer in the MG marvel has a PMS indicator with mileage left til next PMS. Unless of course they change it in the factory. One thing to remember thou is the MG Phil is now directly controlled by SAIC Motors in China. its the closest we will get to Direct To Consumer (DTC) Selling until Tesla Officially enters our market. Since they are not Dealers, they don't have that much needed revenue from PMS.

2nd issue is that since an EV is more expensive... insurance premium is also higher.
Same predicament. my daily is turning 6 in a few months and was hoping to change it this year.
I am still waiting for my desired EV to be officially sold here in our country and not being brought by grey market dealers thou i am hoping one of them will be available via Indent order . Luckily i am in no rush to change as i do enjoy driving my Daily.

some early adopters of EV are feeling a bit disappointed at some of the price drops recently (BYD). Considering most EV are sold by Dealers which we can surmise as being quite greedy and not passing savings of the EO12 to consumers. It took the take over of MG Phil by its SAIC mother company for the EV market to be shaken. Like i said above. MG is the closest we will get to Direct to Consumer Sales, they are not dealers, they are directly controlled by the mother company SAIC in China. So no Dealer incentive in the price, No dealer mark up. So price can be lowered. Downside is they are controlled by a Mainland China company which is also under the Chinese Government control. baka ma control nila mag EV at salakayin ang pinas. hahaha

fpr an electric car meron kasi doubt to travel that long for a toycar wuling. Imagine mo ilan choices saan magcharge. Bale starting point nya vertis north. Sa comments madami nagulat na nagrisk sya to go to baguio eh paano kung madale ng traffic.

pero nabasa ko din sa comments pag-uwi yung regenerative braking ng BYD nasa 100% pa din charge.

There are original VW Beetles running around in Baguio, and even when new those only put out 40WHP.

the greek philosopher archimedes said, give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world

it's all about leverage which in cars is gear ratio. with proper gearing a gx35 grass cutter engine could drive a car up baguio

AFAIK grey market pa din, despite the official looking draperies and stars in attendance.

If you click the globe icon on tesla.com there's still no Philippines under Asia-Pacific region.

Also business model ni Tesla is that everything is company owned. There's no such thing as an "official distributor", and if the company selling their cars isn't Tesla itself then it's not "legit".

I don't think may Tesla dealership ang TESLA. you buy their car's online...

may mga "gallery" sila pero car is bought online pa din.

so basically... since di tayo comfortable bumili ng ganon, we will have to settle with importers.

yes, it comes with a charger, I think EV Solutions (TESLA) will even provide a fast charger.

    I think safe naman sila...

My issue is that Chinese cars use GB/T plug. Most malls use CCS2, gaano kaya ka-safe yung GB/T to CCS2 plug na nabibili sa Lazada?
