Umi, how long does your ONR wash routine take you on your mildly soiled Mazda2? Since I'm definitely sure I don't wash my car for "2 hours" as Loverlinous quoted parang... 45minutes lang ata ako eh (purely exterior)

Around 45 minutes to an hour if it's lightly/mildly soiled, plus another thirty minutes for wheels, tires and wheel wells. I find that I wash slower than most people, probably because I'm overly careful

    this is the victim...

products: microtex shampoo, microtex nanosliq, microtex nanoglos, collinite 476s, collinite liquid 845 insulator wax, mothers carnauba cleaner paste wax, mothers claybar, meguiars next 2.0 liquid wax, mothers applicator sponge, microtex suede applicator pad and MFs ~ terry, plush, ultraplush.. [sorry, no dual action polisher or any machine.. too expensive!]

this truck has not been waxed for around 6months now. i wanted to do DIY detailing but may take more than 2days to complete it. suggestions? i would also like to get your feedback --> optimum poli-seal vs. klasse aio.

pwede ung Mothers California Gold Step1 (Pre-wax Cleaner), Step 2 (Seal and Glaze), Step 3 (Carnauba Wax) or you could use other tough carnauba wax brand.

After washing, clay, then mother's cleaner wax, followed by NanoGlos to fill in some swirls, and then some Collinite 476. Between Poli-Seal and KAIO... well, hard to say. I have both, and generally use KAIO more often (use it to strip before laying down a new LSP), but that's because the car is in pretty good shape. Poli-Seal has some cutting ability, which would help if you have any light swirls.

Something like Optimum Instant Detailer or NanoSliq would work well on white - you're basically looking for products that will add a lot of gloss, shine and reflectiveness on white (rather than depth and glow).

I have light scratches possibly from someone in jeans who leaned on my bumper. The scratches aren't deep enough to be felt by the fingernail. What product is best to use first?

I'm currently using NanoSliq. Will try Optimum Instant Detailer for comparison.

Medyo mahal lang bosing compared sa nanosliq. I suggest get the concentrate type as it makes 1 gallon for 32oz and 4 gallons for 1 gallon type

As a rule, use products that are non abrasive or least abrasive and see if it does the work. If it just a light scratches maybe a wax could do the job if not you could try a paint cleaner wax.

I'd start with M205 on the Meguiar's polishing pad (yellow, I think?) - should be a pretty mild combination to start with.

Might depend on the QD - some of them might have wax or sealant polymers which might inhibit the outgassing of the paint. I have read that Optimum Car Wax is safe to use on newly-painted vehicles, as is Optimum No Rinse.

We just moved houses and a feisty feline has taken a liking to the smooth surface 845 offers. Have to cover the car every night <sigh>. ONR would have been perfect in this situation.

Thank you for the quick response sir...Actually sir, new lang ako sa detailing...Given the recent repainting, i was thinking that this could be a good start in maintaining my van's paint! I would like to try microtex nanoglos and nanosliq muna for me get the hang out of it...Okay lang po kaya sir? TIA!
