    Sirs,

Bought a new silver car and now keen on detailing it. Am only a beginner and based sa mga nabasa ko dito ok na ang nanogloss and nanosliq then eventually try ko nalang mag move to collonite. Any other suggestions for a newbie?

Now eto na yung question ko about curing and applying the nanosliq, let say after washing and drying the car apply na ng nanogloss and pacure muna ng around 8 hours, dahil medyo road side kami after 8 hours medyo marami ng dust yung car, ang gagawin nalang ba dito is yung feather duster then apply nanosliq? or kelangan pa ulit water wash? medyo dun lang yung part na medyo hindi clear sakin.

    Salamat sa magclaclarify thanks

kung nasa tabi ka ng kalsada, i'm pretty sure kapal na ng alikabok after 8 hours. it would be safer to wash the car before applying nanosliq. just let nanoglos cure for a day and perform car wash next day using a good shampoo then apply nanosliq. it is not advisable also to use feather duster it can cause paint marring. there are better dusters available but at a higher cost.

Personally, I dislike touching the paint unnecessarily. The only time I'll touch it ASAP is when birds try to make my car a shooting range. I'd rather go for washing the car -> apply Nanoglos -> wait it out until the car's dirty -> Nanosliq.

If eager, I suggest you go invest in a good duster. My Microtex Duster has been with me for a year and it's still dusting dust away before I apply Nanosliq as part of a weekend regimen. If you're still a newbie, I would suggest going for Optimum Car Wax for the ease-of-use and durability.

Question, safe ba ang degreaser sa dashboard and other interior plastic panels or kailangan pang i-dilute? I'm using D'best biodegreaser. P150 lang yata from Handyman Trinoma.

Thanks Ginnova, jhnkvn. Went to ace hardware and boought some better duster. I think yung brand is mrclean? Microfiber daw sya. Will look for that microtex duster.
Yung optimum car wax wala sa ace. Tomorrow hopefully makalabas to go to blade.
    Salamat sa mga payo

ace should have microtex duster. kung hindi mo pa nabuksan yung mr clean duster , exchange it for microtex. allowed naman yan for up to 7 days.

i suggest invest ka for a more durable wax like collinite that could last a month or more. kakatamad din mag-apply ng wax after every car wash unless you're using a spray wax/sealant.

I have seen both Microtex NanoGlos and TireBlack. Parang same lang ang texture nila and scent. My question is, under the engine compartment, can I use NanoGlos or Tireblack sa mga hoses and black plastic? The idea is to repel and para hindi kumapit ang dust.

Parang medyo matapang yung D'Best Biodgreaser bro - at the very least, it can make my hands itch. For maintenance lang ba? I use ONR in QD dilution for light cleaning of interior plastics.

The Nanoglos is for paint work, the Tire black is for tires, other rubber parts, and black plastic trim. You can use the tire black for the plastics and rubber under the engine hood - one tip I've gotten is to dilute it 1:5 (tire black:water) to make it sprayable and more easily spreadable. Just not sure whether it will attract dust or not, as I've not used it under the hood yet (I use the diluted version for wheel wells).

I agree with this - one of the most important things you need to learn about minimizing marring on your paint finish is to resist the temptation to touch it when it's dirty. It's always better to be safe - if you want to wax, be it a spray wax or an actual liquid/paste wax, always do a wash beforehand; resist the temptation to use a QD when you have anything other than a few smudges to remove (I don't even use QD for light dust removal); and stop yourself from running the back of your hand across your paint to feel how slick and smooth it is

I believe the prices of the local distributor are 1,200 for 845, 1,400 for 476, and 2,400 for 915 - total of 5,000. However... you don't really need all three of the waxes - if you want the best durability, go for 476; if you want ease of use, go for 845; and if you want the best looks on darker colors, go for 915 (I'd probably go for 845 on whites, silvers and metallics, just because it really has a bright look that goes well with lighter colors).

Hmm, none I guess? For the Nanoglos, work with it on a panel basis then buff. Waiting too long (ex. deciding to wax all 4 doors worth before buffing) would make it harder to buff but waxing then instantly buffing might be time-inefficient compared to waxing a medium-sized surface area then buffing it.

For the Nanosliq, it's spray then wipe... then wipe.. then wipe some more as it has known streaking issues. To make it last longer, you might want to dilute it with distilled water as most of us do.

Frankly, I'm a noob when it comes to auto-detailing. Gusto ko sana mag-DIY carwash session sa kotse ko soon -- if hinde tinamad. I'm quite aware of the process in general since nagpapacarwash naman ako, pero ask ko lang kung may iba pa ba kayo process? Like ilan times kelangan sabunin at linisin etc.

I don't plan to take on detailing pa. Just the usual car wash. Ask ko lang din kung ano yung mga recommended products such as car shampoo and the likes...

    Tia guys

Baka naman hindi na fresh yang nakain mo

Here's a link to v.2 of doc scharnhorst's Tamang OC guide: Tamang OC Lang v.2

It's got a list of tools and products needed, and a procedure for the wash itself. Oh, and very few car washes actually follow correct procedure in washing vehicles, hehe
