    hello gurus,

ask lang ako ulit kung pwede ba iapply yung collinite 915 tapos patong yung 476s? and kung pwede agad iapply yung 476s after nung 915 or magiintay pa ako ng 12-24 hours?

also, normal lang ba after na wash at nagdry na yung microtex washmitt e tumitigas siya? pero pag nabasa naman, balik lambot siya.. i don't know kasi kung may mali akong nagagawa. wash it with perla then air dry lang naman... kaso pag natuyo, tigas na siya. hindi ba masisira or mawawala effect ng pagka washmitt niya pag ganun?

    thanks!

a ok. ang akala ko kasi ung cleaner wax bro ang may abrasive features kasi nga cleaning, sealing and wax all in one... parang ung Klasse AIO.. if you use it every week, sa pagkaintindi ko a (please correct me if i'm wrong) e over time e mauubos ang clear coat mo..

as for the pre-wax cleaner, ang aalisin lang talaga nito e everything above your clearcoat (i.e. wax build-up etc) and it has no "correcting" properties or in other words non-abrasive... tama ba?

    confused detailer here.

I would assume you have both? IMHO, just use one of the Collinites. I feel it would be a waste applying multiple layers since this product is one of the most durable waxes we can use. 476 is slightly more durable than 915, but 915 offers the best shine so I chose this. I believe it will last for more than a month, with booster application after wash each week.

honestly I have not yet opened my can of 915. I'm still so hooked on OCW and OID-GE. I'll wash my FD later and check for water sheeting. After that I'll clean out the paint and apply 915.

    hi melaforma,

definitely a wash mitt. kaya nga ako nagtataka kasi i also have a cheap one pero once ko lang ginamit. soft siya after matuyo. yung sa microtex after ilang gamit, matigas na. pero pag binabad sa tubig, balik ulit yung lambot niya.

thanks cjv_justice. not yet. pero im planning to get both. i thought to apply 915 para maganda ang shine tapos applyan pa ng 476 to make it more durable and added protection. prob lang e kung matatabunan niya ang shine ng 915. useless nga.. hehe

Really depends on the specific product - some contain abrasives, some don't. For example, KAIO is a pure chemical cleaner - no abrasives, so it will not degrade your clearcoat. On the other hand, Optimum PoliSeal, which is also an AIO, does have abrasives, and can degrade clear coat if used too often. Both products are in the same category - cleaner/sealants - but their cleaning action differs. Perhaps I should have phrased my earlier reply to say that generally, pre-wax cleaners are more effective cleaners than cleaner waxes, especially if they're in the same product line .

You can put one over the other, but generally speaking, waxes don't really layer too well - you're just evening out the coat of wax by applying a second layer. If I were planning on placing both 476 and 915 on the car, I'd place the 476 first, let it cure for at least 8 hours, and then apply the 915. You'd have the slightly more durable product (476) acting as the base layer, and the more "beautiful" product (915) on top. And yes, placing 476 on top of 915 will mute the shine of 915.

I've never had problem with washmitts getting hard when they dry - do you just wash them in Perla, or are you using a degreaser like say Joy before washing? I'm thinking there might be some road film or other residue that the Perla isn't getting out...

after using, binababad ko lang sya sa joy (along with the other used MFs when detailing) for a couple of hours or minsan overnight then kusot with perla. then banlaw. afterwards, spin wash and air dried...

    TY TY

oh.. thanks. so 476s and then 915 pwede pala. pag sinipag pa that is. hehehe

i wash them with perla after that i hang dry. when it dries out. tuyot na matigas.. so when i'm ready to use it again, babad ko muna sa tubig and then konting kusot kusot para lumambot ulit.

Makapit talaga kasi ang dumi sa microfiber eh, so they Perla might not suffice to clean it. How about leaving the washmitt soaked in warm water + Joy (or some other dishwashing liquid) overnight, then clean them with Perla afterwards? That's what I do with my towels and washmitts, and so far no problems with drying hard - they're all still very soft.

waaah! 'tay tayo diyan umi001! kakabili ko lang kanina nung cleaner wax ng Mothers. Pinagpipilian ko pa naman siya with Step1 kanina sa Ace.

Yung Elite talaga wala akong makita na P600 price tag. Yung Blade sa Southmall at Festival puro P900 parin, pati sa Handyman ganun din. Pahirapan hanapin to a.
