I'm just not sure if they're ok for freshly repainted vehicles - otherwise, once you're past the painter's recommended curing time (usually 60 to 90 days, though always best to ask your paint shop), they're perfectly workable product that produce a good shine for a reasonable price.

Saw HD Nitro Seal in action yesterday thanks to yomiuri's FD (if you're from TeamFD, his name should sound familiar). By far, I'm very impressed with the shine and depth it gave to his gray FD. Hindi naman tumaas balahibo ko sa sheeting but the beading.. damn, umakyat balahibo ko sa paa Napapaisip tuloy ako.... wanna test it side-by-side versus Opticoat, umi? :naughty2: hahaha!

I was actually reading the various threads about this even before launch, and my main thought is - too expensive for me. I can see myself spending that money for OC, which is a permanent coating, adds measurable thickness, offers improved scratch-protection and great self-cleaning properties, but to spend that kind of money for one application of a paint sealant (albeit a supposedly long-lasting one), which doesn't have the same benefits, it terms of added resistance to marring as well as self-cleaning? Just don't think it's worth the money (and this is coming from someone who bought a pot of Zymol Glasur - though admittedly at a discounted price ). It supposedly does look incredible, but HD Poxy is supposedly very close in looks as well, and I already have Poxy :D Besides, I'm really not a sealant person - more of a carnauba guy

How's the HD Poxy performance? For me, it's expensive rin nga eh. Although yomiuri was offering me a 6k complete exterior detail with the HD Nitro, I don't think I'll be able to stand not touching the car every few months or so. Even now that the Duragloss epoxy sealant is alive (from the previous EB), I'm here wishing that it wear out "faster" so I can try a WG Sealant next. Then again, I'd have to hold the WG since my next detailing session would really involve a polish na.. I'm getting irked with the swirls here and there so I'll go Meg's M83 or Optimum Polish + KAIO and double layer KSG next time round.

    Good day to all!

I've been reading this thread for quite sometime, all the tips mentioned here on how to maintain the car's paint has been very helpful to me. For the past few months, I've been using mothers shampoo, step 2 & 3 for my detailing and maintaining it weekly using mothers fx spray wax.

Right now, paubos na yung step 2 ko (i bought it 2 months before i bought step 3 kaya sya yung naubos kagad), so i would like to know what are good alternatives for step 2.

Although I'm satisfied with the result of step 2 & step 3 combo, i am still open to other wax system.
I have a nanogloss in the house (got it from our club), would that suffice as mother's step2 replacement?
If not, since i would be buying another car wax, which wax is suitable for dark colored paint (pewter metallic gray)?

Try nyo sir yung 915 para wala na kayong step 2 and 3. Tapos maintain na lang ng Optimum Gloss Enhancer. Saves you time and gives better result.

yung Dupont Carnauba Wax po ang gamit ko... ok naman... mga isang buwan ang tinatagal bago ako mag wax ulit.
