The CD-IB100 maybe compatible with the iPod Nano, and probably also with the new iPod Video. You can also check out www.pioneerelectronics.com. I don't know if flash based drives are compatible with the iPod interfaces for the different HU's, but as for the older ones, 3rd and 4thG, which are harddrive based. no problem whatsoever.

Wow! Ganda siguro drving habits mo. I have yet to breach 9km/li on my 3.0V. I'm not too wary with my habits kasi, eh... I should try not to exceed 100kph pala and just coast along 'til I slow down to 80kph, before stepping on the gas again. I'll see how my consumption will change...

Actually I read from Time Magazine that "cars are designed to drive most efficiently at around 100 Km/h; efficiency drops 7% to 23% for every 8 Km/h over that."

Of course, this is assuming if the vehicle is driven in the highways where such speeds can be attained.

*spiff...nice-looking unit; A worthy replacement to the OEM HU. Pardon my ignorance, but, is the CD-IB100 also compatible with the Nano?

I don't have an iPod nano so I can't say. I'll try to borrow my brother-in-law's nano and try it over the weekend. But I'm assuming it's compatible since all iPods from the 3rd gen and up have the dock connector.

ilan na ba ang odo reading mo? mine dati ganyan din ang consumption and actually manila traffic was able to squeeze close to 7km per liter.

peeps, makukuha ko na raw unit ko next week! yahoo! problema ko, yung dalawang dealers na pinalahan ko yung tumawag. pinagpipilian ko kung 4x2 d4d or 2.7 vvti ang kukunin ko. by monday kailangan ko na mag-decide. ang fear ko kasi sa 2.5 d4d eh yung mga nababasa kong problems from fellow tsikoteers. re 2.7 vvti, yung fuel consumption. 90% highway driving ako. need some advice. thanks!

VVTi's been here for quite some time. Kinks have been taken cared of, and it's practically worry-free. I've experienced that in my old '03 RAV.

D4D is another story. It's still experiencing its "growing pains and teething problems". It's a real challenge owning one. But i don't regret having my unit in D4D outfit. So far, i never had the problems experienced by other tsikoteers. But i'm optomistic kasi the tsikoteers who owns diesel engined-cars are very supportive wrt to diesel problems.

After reading all the pros and cons of D4D vs. VVTi, which might get u more confused...and ending up still undecided...do it the old-fashioned way: toss coin, head or tail!! That should settle it pretty quickly!

I guess its compatible with 5G iPod models (Video & Nano), kasi, accdg to Pioneer the CD-IB100 is "Compatible with iPod models featuring Dock Connector". Thanks for the info, though. Kindly update me after u try connecting the Nano.

VVTi nalang. 100,000.00 price difference. That's more than 5 years to offset. Great acceleration, No smelly fumes, Very quiet & Less vibration.

ganda sana ng diesel kaso me mga glitches pa, VVTi ka na lang sir.. wait ka muna for a year or 2 pra magnormalize.

since, same body din nman e. same brand, fuel lng ang pinag-iba. ms economical nga lang yung diesel.

As per my odo, I'm just nearing 4000kms. I guess my poor consumption may be due to the fact that most of my drives are during rush hour traffic.

The horn was the first thing that I replaced the next day that I got my unit. Bosch also. I don't know why Toyota uses those "small" horns despite the size of the vehicle; it is not proportionate. Just like with the Altis, isang horn lang ang nakalagay; parang busina ng tricycle.
