*retina...Actually, na-a-abuso nga yang "doctor-on-call" kse yung iba kahit di duktor, naglalagay, kaya nakakalusot sila (well, im talking about QC area). Ako man, as much as possible, di rin ako naglalagay nang "on call" basta-basta. Yung maliit na "MD" na sticker (front windshield driver side) is enough for me. I just point at it if cops/mmda try to flag me down. Ayun, di na ako pinatatabi. So far, it works....never had a problem. Enjoy your ride, mate!Originally Posted by retinasurgeon
Changed my head unit to a Pioneer FH-P4200MP and added the Pioneer CD-IB100 to control and charge my iPod. I also added a 12" V12 sub. I'm just waiting for the side panels from Toyota to fill in the gap left by the stock Fujitsu head unit. ;-)

I got my plates after 2 weeks, I chose 0 because holidays are being moved to either Mondays or Fridays... like this coming November.
I purchased a set of aluminum pedal pads and muffler cutter from Autosports, they look good and cost a lot less than what's being sold at the dealerships. The Master steering will lock will arrive tomorrow and should come in handy when I have to park her in unfamiliar territory.
How much did you get the HU for, together with the iPod interface. And where?Originally Posted by spiff41398
Pwede din namang plate badge since iyan ang favorite tignan ng MMDA and other agencies. Hindi pa mukhang galing sa medrep. hehehe.Originally Posted by patron

beebs,
pati samin... sabi ng lecheng agent namin end of october daw.. eh 29 na wla padin! d man lng ngpaparamdam!!
I also have gotten tired waiting (4 months).I already have ordered a Grandis. Its the only alternative that excites the family. They also have a raffle this christmas, Grandis din ang premyo.Sana manalo, para mabenta.Bawi gastos. Me libreng pioneer home theatre system pa , sabi nila.
Several towns here in the north have ordered the fortuner as seervice vehicles but they also had to shell out 100k extra for each unit. What a waste of peoples money, even if they could afford it.
To all Fortuner Diesel owners, Do you know where to find the primary fuel filter? I've been looking for it cant find the primary filter. Thanks.
Hanggang ngayon ba nasa Denial Stage pa rin kayo? This is the story for months and months now. As has been said here in Tsikot many times over - start offering bribes to your dealer and your Fortuner will come out before Christmas.Originally Posted by beebs
Lalo na ngayon, magpa-pasko pa, people will get their bonus, so more people are capable of paying more bribes, so if you will stick with your original payment maraming makakasingit sayo, then you have to wait till the holiday season is over before you get yours (perhaps around January dahil sigurado matumal ang benta by that time dahil ubos ang pera ng mga tao). :praning:
Toyota will thank you for using your P20,000 for their business investment while you were waiting. Thank you, come again. :praning:Originally Posted by wilcats

Although I see lots of Fortuners on the road these past weeks ( about five units average), expect supplies to be really *tight* due to the Christmas Season, which happens to be the busiest shopping season of the year.
On a lighter note, some trivias...
In Singapore, the Fortuner is not a big seller, I only saw just four units in the time span of six days. Singaporeans only have one variant of the Fortuner available to them. It has a 2.7 vvt-i, 4x2 but with leather seats and the works (things that were deleted from the Philippines domestic market). Car ownership there is very expensive which is why the Fortuner cost double the price of a 3.0V here (in the Philippines).
The Grandis and the Odyssey are easily the most common (family-carrier) vehicles around. No Innovas sighted.
When did they launch the Fortuner at Singapore?Originally Posted by number001

he he he...actually if one can acquire a new car in Singapore, they can be considered rich by Philippine standards already, since vehicles in Singapore cost roughly quadruple the price of the ones in the US or double the prices of that of the Philippines (imports only, not those locally assembled in Laguna).Originally Posted by vicoyski
For example, in the US, if an entry level BMW 525i series can be readily acquired for $42,500 ( Php 2,380,000 * Php56=$1). In the Philippines, the same BMW 525i will cost Php 4,783,000 (or about double the price). In Singapore it is roughly Php 9,520,000 (+/-) or double that of Philippine prices and quadruple US prices.
Btw, in Singapore, a Hyundai Getz can roughly fetch Php 1,200,000 (net) in Singapore. It is expensive there since you have to pay for the right to own and operate a car, plus lots of other taxes (road use, etc). The Fortuner 2.5 vvti is being sold for Sing$ 99,758 or Php 3,292,014.
I managed to see a yellow Ferrari F430 parked and a Lamborgini Murcielago which was roaring so loudly (while running) at Orchard Road. To think that each owner of these exotic beauties probably spent enough money to buy themselves at least two copies of their cars each, if they just purchased and run the cars elsewhere in the world.![]()
