    Hello all,

Do you know the minimum ground clearance of the Innova? From the looks of it, I don't think it's greater than or equal to 200mm. Please enlighten me.

    Many thanks!

Good day to all, just a query, is it allowed to bring our own preferred engine oil (fully synthetic oil) at casa for change-oil? thanks more power to innova owners.

That has been a great help! Thank you!

But I have one more question: if it happens that Toyota would launch a facelifted Innova, do you think the prices of the older one would drop?

Discount will not be very big. Every month, Toyota has a promo (discount), it varies from month to month, with certain months having more discounts than the other (if you're lucky). Try to time your purchase to take advantage of better discounts.

Just to give you a tip. I have been told by a sales person in a dealer that July to Sept are usually their weakest months of the year. They usually discount more during this period. Actual veracity of that tip cannot be ascertained.

As a result of my Internet surfing, I found out that the Altis has a ground clearance of 180 mm compared to the Innova's 176 mm. Can anyone confirm this? Many thanks!

Apparently, the Altis, despite it being a sedan, has a higher ground clearance. Though the 0.16-inch difference is very insignificant, I'm now thinking twice if I would go for an Innova or the new Altis...

I am looking for a Toyota that can go past minor flooding (like street gutter-level floods). The Innova is a good choice for me. But then again, what would convince me to choose the Innova over the Altis, which technically can perform at par with the Innova as far as floods are concerned?

I am learning much from this discussion. Thanks number001!

But then, I am thinking twice right now. I'd love to have an Innova E (A/T). However, it seems issues on price and "ground clearance" get on the way..

Officially, TMPI has yet to publish in its brochures the "actual" ground clearance of the Innova being sold here. The "old" Altis has a clearance of 180 mm. Not sure about the new one. The new Vios has 150 mm while the outgoing Lancer is 165 mm.

Re: flood fording. Despite the numbers, for minor flooding, I still think the Innova would fare better than the Altis in any types of flood. Innova's air-intake/air filter is located behind the right headlight and its exhaust is definitely higher than Altis.

Researching for not readily available info is really difficult for me. But then you are very informative. Many thanks! I now feel really fine with the Innova

Anyway, I submitted an electronic inquiry to Toyota Makati regarding the Innova's "actual" ground clearance. I do hope it's much better than 176 mm!

And just now, let me browse toyota.com...

...It says there that the new Altis' ground clearance is 5.8 inches. That's about 147 mm or more. So perhaps it's safe to assume that the new Altis clears about just the same ground as the new Vios.

Verdict: Might as well settle for an Innova!

    WBR,
Thank you sir for this info, because my brother had a bad experience last month at one of the toyota dealer in metro manila, when he brought his innova for PMS he was required to bought an ordinary oil toyota made just to cover-up the warranty. Anyway thanks for info. My innova is also due for 10k PMS.

    [SIZE=2]difference of e m/t and e a/t is the transmission only.
e-power windows, the stock mags, rear wiper, with ABS, with child lock protector, 4 spoke steering wheel, 4 speakers, etc.
j-manual windows, steel rims, 3 spoke steering wheel, 2 speakers, etc.

guys, tanong ko lang kung sino na naka-experienced neto...

2 or 3 weeks naka-garahe yung innova ko...

kanina gagamitin ko sana, pag start ko, tikitikitik lang then, namatay ung mga ilaw sa panel...naiwan lang ung "open door'... i tried 3X... pag saksak ko ng susi... iilaw lahat, then antay ko mag-off yung airbag icon...pag ignite ko....tikitikitk lang the mamatay uli lahat ng ilaw sa panel

two years na innova ko this coming october... odometer nya is 22k+++

    matic....

ano sa tingin nyo palitin na kaya baterya... first time to nangyari paalis pa naman ako ngayon....

    thanks...

    Papabong,

Looks like a dead battery...try to borrow battery from other car to start it.

Then bring your battery to battery shop for diagnosis before buying new one.
