Sir ano po gamit nyo na battery? Pag tuwing weekend lang ginagamit ang innova, hindi kaya masira agad battery?

just got my innova recently and found out that the alternator is located on the top left side (facing the engine), this is good for crossing flood striken areas. I also have a lancer and it's alternator is located at the right bottom part of the engine, madaling masira kasi nababasa sa baha e...

With the recent price increase of diesel, do you think the D4D engine variant still holds economic advantage over petrol variant of innova? Im planning to buy a gas variant but i'm considering the long term economic impact of these 2 options .

    Any comment from you guys?

havent got the chance to check pero its still the original when the day i bought my innova. i often leave the country for two weeks ok naman. i dont add any electrical accesories to my innova and i keep it stock until the time i sell it. usually every 5 years.

for peace of mind go for the gas variant... though a lot of d4d engine have no issues and more torque to boot.
unit price diff. savings from getting the petrol engine will make up for the 5pesos fuel price delta right now after X years (depends on your daily mileage). you're a sure winner when diesel price will even up with petrol

Re: flood fording. Despite the numbers, for minor flooding, I still think the Innova would fare better than the Altis in any types of flood. Innova's air-intake/air filter is located behind the right headlight and its exhaust is definitely higher than Altis.
I got data from Toyota Makati. They are saying the Innova's ground clearance is 200 mm. The new Altis, on the other hand, is still clearing 180 mm - just like the past generation's clearance.

200 mm.. Personally, I can hardly believe it. The Fortuner stands at 220 mm. If the Innova does so at 200 mm, the difference is just 0.8 inches.

    What do you guys think?

Mine is still the stock battery (Oriental). Why not install a grounding kit

    hello fellow innova owners,

just had my 40k pms. here is the details

    labor 1428.00
    oil filter 425.60
    car care kit 224.00
    tdo oil 7ltrs 1088.92
    fuel filter 400.02
    oil gasket 26.68
    air filter 1062.86
    transm oil 952.84
    diff oil 727.41
    brake fluid 266.04

    total 6,602.37

i did not replace the coolant. the manual says replacement is 160,000 km. ok daw naman.

may leak ung left front shock absorber. call daw nila ako pag may stock na palitan nila kasi covered pa ng warranty, 40,000 na 2years and 6 months, lapit na matapos ang warranty.

    fyi

    regards to all

Thanks bro...ur right, even at 150liters consumption a month, it will take 88 months before I can recover the extra cost of getting the diesel variant assuming diesel cost is P5.00 cheaper than petrol. Diesel engine though serves specific purpose (hauling more passengers, business uses, terrains, etc.) but not in my case. regards..

good choice indeed because 3pesos increase for diesel vs. 1peso hike for petrol again today.
    price gap is narrower

what battery can we use to replace the oem battery? Our oem battery is an oriental maintenance free n50, with ampere hours at 68, and reserve capacity of 133. Typical n50 batteries only have around 50 ampere hours, and reserve capacity of around 100. Normally, our oem battery's specs can be seen with n70 batteries, but these are bigger. We can buy the oem battery, pero ang mahal. Do we have a choice other than the oem battery?

2nd, any of you notice that our ride seems to have weak alignment? Have seen 3 units, including myself to have toe in problems, with excessive inner tread wear. With my personal ride, I am at 55K, and my replacement tires also have inner excess wear, just like my oem tires. Already had my ride aligned three times in a span of 3 years.

True, I have seen some of them and they are all D4d. Looks like the D4D is more heavier for the front suspension to take.

Running at 40K na ang ODO ko, stock tires parin at makapal pa rin ang threads, no signs of uneven wear.

i think there will come a time na diesel will be more expensive or same price with the gasoline. saw the news last night diesel is 166/barel and gasoline is 130/barrel, what they are doing is subsidizing the price of diesel from the gasoline. I got the d4d a/t version, sana gasoline na lang to save around 50t
