Happened to me also, but only the right fender damaged by a very young driver on his way to hospital emergency.

Medyo off color lang daw sabi ni Nelson Ruello (known freelance painter here at tsikot), but generally halos good as new uli.

no wonder it was still able to run, it barely reach the engine. sure, it looks bad and considering bago pa masama sa loob talaga, but honestly if body work lang din repairs its pretty minor na lang. mas malala nga naimagine ko. lol

Pero you are right I have to be optimistic and pray that God will work his miracle.

I will just ask for an alignment check. Saka when I drone it from Del Monte Ave. (site of accident) to Clover Leaf Traffic Bureau ok naman, wala naman kabig. Bit I will still test it sa expressway pag labas nya.

I called my insurance today, bukas pa daw lalabas ang LOA. It took them 4 days, ang tagal sa tingin ko. According to Toyota it will take 1 to 2 weeks to repair.

Di nga ako makatulog kasi nauulanan ang babay ko, immagine mo nakakumot yan pag gabi.

Thank mga bro sa feedback, it really toned down my worries.

Blackshark1999: Sorry about the bad news dre.

To think na walang tama yung underchassis mo, you need not worry about anything. Yung mga lata madaling ayusin yan lalo from casa. Most probably papalitan na nila yung mga panels like fenders and the whole bumper.

Just a question, sa extent nung damage ng Innova mo, nag deploy ba ang airbags?

I think di kailangan mag-deploy ng airbag since it is not frontal collision.

Collision sensor to deploy airbag is located on the center front and behind the lower section of front grill.

Meaning the collision has to be almost dead center before the airbags deploy? Hmm.....

Looks very much aesthetic. When they do the repairs, pay attention to the color matching (silver is hard color to match) and make sure all the internal panels and clips/screws are complete.

The airbags did not deploy, actually halos hindi naramdaman sa loob ng van ang impact. The whole family was with me.

For the benefit nga pala ng ating mga bro, this is how the front underchassis looks like. Modular lahat kaya pwede mapalitan as long as hindi damaged ang engine.

You should thank God that minor accident lang ang nangyari and that walang nasaktan sa passengers mo and ikaw. Toyota should be able to restore your car to As New look. Anyway papalitan naman yung mga affected parts and the underside looks to be intact. I'm sure they can match the paint job to almost perfect. I already had my front bumper repainted because of some scratches (courtesy of the wife parking the car with the bumber kissing the wall, grrrr! kung di ko lang asawa...joke only!!!), match naman ang color.

Incidentally, for some of our co-innova owners whose car have minor dents, you can bring them to FGU Dent Repair Center in Examiner St. Q.C. (recommended by Mile2). I passed around the place yesterday afternoon to check it, met the owner Frank Ulep, and ended up having my vios repaired for its dent at the trunk cover and the deformed plastic bumper (Courtesy of the wife again! backing to a tamaraw fx). To think that there is no putty and paint involved, it was incredible that it was restored to almost perfect curves, all in two hours plus. This was possible because of the almost non-existent scratch on the paint.

Not exactly, yung nasa picture looks like a side swept collision or daplis.

If you're going to work on something near the airbag sensors (ie. removing grilles to get access inside) do I have to remove the batteries para di mag actuate yung sensor?

First car ko kasi to with airbags kaya wala ako idea on how to work with these sensors.

Not really. It depends on the speed of the car during the collision, points on where the car is hit etc. If you had your car running on 40km/hr and encounter a frontal collsion, the airbag will surely deploy.

Good news wala nasaktan sa inyo. God speed

    Gud day to ka Innova's!

Nanggaling ako sa Toyota Dagupan yesterday for my aircon check-up and sabi ng SA (c/o Ricky) na wala daw damage tubes at galing daw leak sa bumigay na valve yung may takip na plastik so they changed them both pati sa tabi ng yung sinisilip na bumubula sa tabi ng radiator (don't know the name) and filled with new refrigerant sana ok na. Ang tanong ko lang mga guru's (sir mile2..gumusut amige) kung anong indication na working properly aircon from the bumubula thing?yung sa akin ngayong umaga lang pag nag klik compresor may bula then pag tumigil di sya clear as in may bula pa rin pero kahapon very clear sya sa casa na kahit klik compresor nya clear pa rin...do you think ok na aircon ko sir luckily no expenses on my part just my gas.. I will observe my car and sana dina bumalik problema nya..waiting for your info sir...thanks

It is common to service crews to unplug the battery terminals when they do engine bay service to avoid any accidental damages.

Maybe you might as well ask Toyota Makati if they can upgrade your font=end to the 2009 innova series look.
