Fellow Innova owners, yung hood nyo ba ay merong protector from the engine? Mine (2007 VVTi) has none. But I've seen from a friend, 2006 D4D J model has a engine hood protector.

wala po talagang hood protector ang VVTi... sa D4D lang po meron.

Normal po ba yung minsan mahirap mag-start ang engine? One time kasi nag start na siya then biglang namatay tapos nung ini-start ulit ang tagal bago nag start?? Puno naman yung fuel,, may kinalaman po ba dito yung fuel filter kasi kapapalit lang niya nung monday dahil sa diesel quality na kinakarga namin sabhi ng SA and the hard starting happened on wednesday... itong mga past few days di na naman naulit yung hard starting... kailangan po ba namin pa check sa casa? Thanks.

The chrome "stickers" on my side mouldings are starting to crack and peel off...
any suggestions on what to do?

IMHO, try to peel off the whole chrome moulding, renew the stick-on moulding tape with 3M, clean the surface, re-stick the chrome, finally apply thin line of transparent silicone around the edges of the chrome to prevent water from entering the edge crevices.

Hay! Up to now Toyota still haven't managed to solve their D-4D problems! Dity fuel is not an excuse, esp. if Hyundai, BMW, Mitsubishi, etc.. can handle the spotty diesel quality here.

Dapat talaga ipasok mo yan ulit sa CASA.

Actually, what's happening to my moulding is it's "center chrome sticker"

Bring it back to the dealer, if it can't be corrected by reprogramming then, it is highly possible that you got a failing fuel pump.

bakit parang body color din yung chrome mo? i think meron nabibili na chrome lining lang for our innova side moulding. you can have it replaced na lang. yung mga chrome parts ng innova ko treated lang lagi ng TW clearvue.

Sabi na nga ba eh... para kasi siyang sticker na nakadikit sa center nung moulding eh...hulog ka talaga ng langit sir leinathan...before kasi you helped me na dun sa burnt smell sa interior which, as per you advise, was the foglamp fuse. That I was able to claim from the casa under warranty...I'll also show this to them. After all, all these items I got from them kaya pasok pa sa warranty!

just got and installed my innova accessories at gold rich. here are the prices:

1) gas tank cover, chrome - 300
2) license plate garnish, chrome - 900
3) hood moulding, chrome - 800
4) trunk moulding, chrome - 700
5) innova (car) cover - 1200
6) alien alarm with central/power lock - 6000
7) rain gutter/visor - 1000
8) fog light/lamp - 2800
9) mud guard - 900
10) tail/muffler pipe - 500
11) spare tire lock - 1200
12) outer handle cover, chrome - 900
13) head light cover, chrome - 900
14) tail light cover, chrome - 900

total accessories - 19,000.00

it took 4 hours to install all of that. whew! hope these accessories will last long.....hehehe.

hi guys!!! in other asian countries like india the innova's headlamp is smoked and the taillights are different. There is also clear side turn signal lights on the front fenders just below the front side mirrors not on the side mirrors but on the body. in some countries the magwheels is different but the OEM mags available here is much better looking. there is no j grade. the lowest grade is the innova e which have similar features as our e grade here but rides on our own J steel rims with hubcaps and has no airbags but has a black sash windowframe wipeout. the G grade has a grey interior and only the V grade has the appealing beige interior. and also there is the availability of a 2.7 liter dohc vvti 2TR-FE engine (the fortuner's engine here) which makes the innova abroad a top performer!!! most common problems encountered abroad are long braking distance and a rubbery scent (parang amoy gamot na pangkulot) whenever you reached the speeds of 120kmh and above. has anyone encountered the same problems? Other than that, our innova is flawless!!! which makes me a proud innova owner!!! guys vote tayo sa autofocus phils. car of the year para sa innova!!! para sha maging best AUV at best over-all!!! I LOVE MY INNOVA!!!
