Jerbum,

Just make affidavit saying you got hit by stone while driving, forget about police report. Affidavit is much cheaper and less hassle for your supporting docs para sa insurance.

Ganyan din nangyari sa Innova ng officemate ko, 3 days niyang iniwan sa casa. Just make sure pagbilinan mo yung SA mo or the Service Manager na they make sure they don't mess you interiors with fingermarks.

Ipasok mo lang pag nasa casa na yung replacement glass para less waiting time.

Yup sa C5 marami din pag lampas mo lang ng toll northbound. There was a time when I was cruising the lane when one of the vehicle few meters upfront just went wayward, yun pala tinamaan ng bato . Buti wala namang nadamay.

OT:

Which part of C5 should we watch out for? The portion of C5 which I traverse once in a while starts from Taguig (Fort) to Tiendesita (Pasig, Ortigas area).

Hey guys,

Just brought home yesterday our new Innova G 2.0 M/T Gas. We had wanted black pero sabi ng dealer (toyota pasong tamo, whose people are great), beige na lang ang available so far.

We drove it around for a bit (30 kms) from the casa and I noticed something that I never noticed in my first car (an Altis): when I shifted gear, the Innova "trembles" (both sound and feel), most especially in the stick shift. Is this normal in Innovas? Is it because break-in pa lang? (The dealer did warn me na "medyo matigas pa yan, sir" although I never felt this when I bought my Altis.)

Is this something that I should worry about?

You can not compare the shifter of Altis to Innova, Altis has cables and linkages for the shifter while the Innova is a direct stick to the transmission.

Medyo matigas talaga ang shifter ng Innova, at minsan pag di ka pa sanay baka akala mo 1st gear mo naipasok eh nasa 3rd gear pala.

Good day po sa lahat..ask lang po sana where i could get a copy of the user's manual of innova J 2005..got mine 2nd hand, ok naman, 18K++..yun nga lang, wala na yung user's manual...gusto ko sanang magkaroon for reference..and also, where can i probably have my car tuned up and all??namamahalan kasi ako sa casa...yung last change oil nya (23K km) sa shell parañaque...baka po meron kayong ma-recommend...thanks!!

thanks a lot for the reply. that explains it. (sorry, medyo ignorante, which is precisely why i'm seeking answers in this forum hehehe.) the direct link of the shift to the transmission -- could this also explain why the innova is a lot noisier than, say, the altis?

has anybody here successfully found a way to secure the spare tire of their innovas? my SA told me that "nakawin" daw ang spare tire ng innova and he told me to make sure na secured. meron daw contraption for it na nabebenta but costs more than 3k (which is a bit steeped for something like that, i think). was wondering if anybody has secured their innova spare tire without having to spend thousands. di kaya puedeng kadenahan na lang at lagyan ng kandado hehe.

sad to say pero di po uubra kung kadena lang dahil nabo bolt cutter pa rin ito... meron pong nabibili na parehong pareho ng OEM spare tire lock ng Toyota... 4x4 ung brand... it costs 1,4K in Banawe... i suggest that you have your spare tire secured as soon as possible before its too late.

I suggest buying the Solex branded Toyota spare tire lock from the dealer, which costs Php 3,xxx.xx +. Its worth it.

I know someone who's spare tire was stolen even with the use of spare tire lock. Btw, the lock is the "Banaue-variety" or cheaper imitation.

Medyo maingay nga Bro ang Innova, yung center console parang nagiging "Beat Box" lahat ng ingay sa ilalim (gulong, tambutso, transmission at makina) lahat yan parang nagra-radiate sa plastic center console.

Medyo sanayan na lang

Siguro puede pang langyan ng sound deadening gaya ng ginagawa sa Mercedez MB 100 pinapasakan nila ng bulak or basahan yung shifter cover.
