you can try searching this tread for "change oil" or "motor oil". my suggestion is ordinary motor oil muna ang ilagay mo sa 1st 1k PMS. para pa ring "break-in" yang gagawin mo. para mas lalung lumuwag ang dapat lumuwag. then on your 5k PMS, palit ka na ng Fully Synthetic. Pero once you switch to fully synthetic, you should not go back to ordinary motor oil.

Try to attend the EB, I'm sure it will be great to meet and talk to other Innova owners. You could share experiences and see how others set-up their rides.

Too bad though, I can't be there... It's too far from where I work (Isabela)

As for the 1000 kms PMS, I just had it done last Monday at Toyota Ortigas.
Here's the breakdown of charges:

Labor 0.00
Materials/Supplies 109.09 -->??
Parts 1,143.63 -->oil filter and ordinary mineral oil
Sublet 0.00
Others 2,643.52
-----------------------------------
GRAND TOTAL Ph P 4,363.79

May FREE washing na kasama. I don't know if it's really free or that's what they charged me Ph P109.09 for.

As for the Ph P 2,643.52, I had mudguards installed. Ulan kasi ng ulan nun e. Tapos pag nasa bundok pa ako ang daming landslides, mud and sand. I cringe at the sound whenever I hear mud and sand hitting the underside of the innova.

Parang sand blast ang dating e.

My SA (service advisor) asked me what kind of oil do I want for my 1000 Kms. PMS? I said ordinary mineral oil will do for me.

But I asked him what they would suggest, he said: "for turbocharged engines, they recommend Semi or Fully Synthetic oils"

Semi Synthetic - needs to be changed every 5K kms. PMS
Fully Synthetic - needs to be changed every 10K kms. PMS

It's better to go Fully Synthetic rather than using Semi Synthetic oils.

aris72ph is right, I was thinking of using Fully Synthetic on my 5K kms. na lang. But then I might change my mind too... gulo ko 'noh? hehe

1000 km..PMS ang sa akin last tuesday also D4D A/T.ordinary mineral oil cost 1400 pesos lahat libre na including car wash

I read somewhere that Toyota will be releasing another Innova - the gasoline powered E variant so E buyers can now choose either the common rail diesel or the gas variant. That article also mentioned "a few improvements."

Anybody knows what these improvements are and if this will be on the current Innova model lineup?

Sana new head lights, tail lights, bumper, entertainment system and turn signal lights on the side view mirror.

dapat ang i-improve nila yung suspension. matagtag pa din yan, laglag pa din ang boobs ng nakaupo sa 2nd and 3rd row seats. pickup based kaya kung nakaupo ako sa likod e feeling ko baboy na dadalhin sa katayan, ok lang mabugbog.

bakit di nila lagyan ng coil springs gaya ng sa avanza?
