baka gus2 nyo ma restore un power ng makina nyo after changing to oversize tires and medyo nabibigatan na yun engine nyo, meron kami regear to restore yuor engines lost power due to heavier tires and wheels..pm lng for more info...

May balita ba kayo kung kelan mag re-redesign ang innova? or would the design still hold for a few years? Yung vios kase nauna na and yung altis next year daw...

I doubt sir. May mga updates na kasi ang latest Innova. Yung released late last year ay may bagong front grill na mesh type at may wheelwell cover na protecting the fog lamps area from mud. Nabanggit kasi sa akin ng isang Service Advisor na madalas manilaw yung mga fog lamps without wheelwell kaya as a protection, nilagyan na nila nito.

Yung re-face siguro sa 2009 pero malamang hindi pa rin kasi Innova is selling like hotcakes. Wala kasing threat unlike Vios, na may City na very competitive din. Yung Altis naman, needs a new design kasi may bagong Honda Civic na din at lalabas yung bagong Lancer late this year.

Hi to everyone in this group. I have been reading this thread and came across
this post. My purpose in reading this thread are to have more insights and knowledge on Innova's engine most especially the D4D. I have read some threads stating some problems on the 2005 and 2006 models and I do believe that by this year those problems were taken into first priority for correction by toyota technical personels. Somehow owners have not posted any complaints on D4D that were purchased this year 2007.
I am considering innova for day to day use so I want to be sure that it is really that reliable. I would appreciate very much any info from D4d owners of whatever experiences they may have.

Somehow owners have not posted any complaints on D4D that were purchased this year 2007.
I am considering innova for day to day use so I want to be sure that it is really that reliable. I would appreciate very much any info from D4d owners of whatever experiences they may have.

I got 4 friends who owns D4D Innova's;
1 - 2005 Innova J
1 - 2007 Innova J
2 - 2007 Innova E

So far, the 2007 models haven't had any problems.

Except for the 2005 Innova which had a "hard starting problem" sometime last month but after draining the fuel filter of WATER... the problem never occured again.

I know how you feel, you have reservations about getting an Innova D4D. Coz that's how I felt when I was also deciding to get an Innova D4D. But I got it anyway.

It still haunts me up to this day, I often dream (or is it nightmare?) that I was driving my Innova at night in heavy rain in a secluded mountain area, when suddenly the engine would STALL!

Call me crazy or paranoid, I admit I had those nightmares.

And sometime last thursday, I was driving my Innova in Cabanatuan City when I noticed the engine acting unusual... it turns out that I was running the thing WITH THE HANDBRAKES ON!!!

nagpalit kasi ako kanina ng motolite gold 21. from 1sm to 2sm. humihina kasi ang ilaw ko pag nagsounds ako ng malakas sa gabi.
nasobrahan ata ako sa sounds at kailangan ko na ng capacitor

di po yata kaya ng 1sm lalo na kung me foglights at subs kase malakas daw kumain ng power yung subs... yan din ang concern ko in case magpa install kame ng foglights and subs.

Additional speakers lang ang kinabit ko sa likod dalawang Boose enclosed type, galing ng bass kahit di ko na ginamit yung active speaker capability ng enclosure. DIY ko na lang ang kabit na walang soldering, tinusok ko sa likod ng connector ng Fujitsu car stereo yung mga lead wires. Walang nagalaw sa wiring kaya walang akong kaba sa warranty ng electrical wiring.
