Until mid-2004, the Volkswagen Group warranted its diesel engines to run on biodiesel (from an accredited source and conforming to the DIN 51606 standard), but concerns over the sensitivity of the latest-generation Pumpe-Duse and piezo-injection fuel injection systems and the quality of the biodiesel fuels available have resulted in a change of policy. It now only warrants its diesel engines for a 5 percent blend. Owners of older VW Group diesels may find their cars can run on biodiesel - but must call their relevant customer services department and quote an engine code to check this for certain.

Skoda

Toyota
Toyota does not recommend the use of biodiesel or RME, either in pure form or in a blend, claiming that it affects engine reliability - especially the fuel pressure pump. Any engine damage caused by the use of biodiesel would not be covered under warranty.

Vauxhall
Vauxhall/Opel does not recommend the use of biodiesel/RME without modifications to the standard engine; use of such fuels will invalidate a warranty.

Volvo
The current range of diesel engines, including the latest D5 diesels, are only warranted for a 5% blend of biodiesel/RME, but some of the recently discontinued diesel units fitted in the larger models are fully biodiesel-compatible. However, Volvo stresses that you should ring its Customer Services and check your engine code before using any alternative fuels, as by no means all these engines are suitable for biofuel use.

ok din pla ang innova VVti!!! tipid din pla. last question"s" na po:

1.) Ndi po ba kinakapos sa paghatak ang Vvti especially kung full load ka ng pasahero mas mababa ang torque ng VVTi compare to D4D?? and

2.) "long throw"(bsta yung malaki ang movement when shifting gear) ba ang kambyo(M/T) kumbaga e para din bang van, dyip when shifting gear?? Kc b4 may grandia kmi at parang kambyo ng delivery truck namin ang pagkambyo...censya na po kung medyo magulo ang tanong ko. d ko kc lam tawag sa ganun(long throw na kambyo) sana po magets nyo mga experts.

3.) May nabasa ako na sumusubsob daw ang innova M/T when shifting to 2nd gear, sa VVti b o D4d or both clang ganun?? kailangan piga daw agad sa gas to avoid this.

4.) Anu kaya topspeed ng Innova VVti&D4d ??

VVTi M/T ang sa akin and I may say na hindi kapos ang hatak nito. I've tested it with 7 adults (full capacity) with cargo sa likod and I am very much impressed with the power na binibigay niya. More than sufficient I may say coz minamani nya ang mga akyatan.

Yup medyo long throw ang 1,3 at 5 while short naman ang 2 at 4. Di mo na mapapansin yon. May solusyon naman just in case eh...lagariin mo ang shift stick para maging short throw ang lahat ng gear

Sa palagay ko hindi sa VVTi yun coz hindi ko pa na experience. Sa D4d siguro. Basta ang Caltex Silver, Petron XCS or Shell Premium ang karga...walang subsob. Naramdaman ko yun nung naka Petron xtra unleaded ako kaya upgrade ka lang ng konti sa RON.

Topspeed? Can't answer you dyan. It all depends on your guts!

to all 2.5G AT OWNER, ilan top speed niyo? kc fortuner ko 2.5G AT engine nasa 140kph at 2600 rpm lang as in sagad na foot ko sa pedal

Wow ang tulin ng d4d ah!! talo pa most midsize sedan (except for honda cguro). Well considering na A/T pa ang kay Innova Boy..at bba pa ng rpm(3100rpm..correct me if i'm wrong) Lupet tlga!!

E anu kya kaya topspeed ng VVTi M/T?? nakakahiya naman kung mabilis pa ang diesel version ng innova kung nagkataon.

ok acceleration ng D4D but mas tulin sa most midsize sedans? like what? my cefiro before could reach 190kph no sweat, nauubusan lng ng daan..

ndi ba luxury sedan yung cefiro and 2.4L na v6 makina nun. pag 1.6-1.8L ba displacement compact car ang tawag kc yun yung pinupunto ko sa mid-size sedan. sorry kung male naitawag ko.

Btw I'm still interested and waiting to know whats the topspeed of the VVti version of innova..pls state kung manual o matic ung ride nyo. thnx!!

No doubt na mabilis ang innova kaysa sa fortuner because of the body weight. Mas maganda pa ang aerodynamics ng innova unlike ng fortuner na binabangga ang hangin. Besides, hindi designed and fortuner sa arangkada kundi sa offroading.

Kung kaya ng D4D ang 170 kph at 3100rpm sigurado ako na kakayanin pa ng VVTi ang mas mabilis doon. Heto ang logic, bakit ganoon kaliit na lang ang mga linya sa speedometer at odometer? more or less may idea na kayo kung ano ang red line before umapoy ang makina. Less 10% ka na lang dun para safe.
