The sucking sound is normal (its air entering/exiting the valve orifice). But then again, if Toyota chose to replace it, no harm done too.

Kaya pala pinalitan ng Toyota yung dalawang hydraulic pistons ay dahil mahina na ang pressure para itaas ang back door. So pag tinulungan itaas, doon lumalabas ang sobrang ingay. After replacement has been made, wala ng ingay at maganda na ang bukas at pagtaas ng back door ko. So, I think Toyota will not just replaced any parts if it is not necessary.

The windshield of my Innova suffered a minor crack when it got hit by something (small particle )sa NLEX,dunno what exactly hit it,i just heard TIC! and thats it, a small visible crack sa may left upper portion nung windshield..i've inquired sa Toyota Balintawak about the price and it's a whoopin P18,000! is there another solution? Dunno if it'll hold up for long,takot kc ako baka lumaki sya in the long run..i've inquired na rin sa insurance, i'll still have to pay P8,000 sa participation..any suggestion guys?

There are numerous windshield repair facilities in the Metro. There's one along Kalayaan before Kamias, another in Caloocan and even Shell along Congressional Ave. nr. Munoz offers such service.

Minimum is Php1,500.00 at Shell AFAIK. Haven't asked the other shops yet. Malamang cheaper pa because Shell Congressional's other parts and services are also a bit higher than industry standard.

Thanks Otep,so what exactly gagawin dun? it looks like a cobweb na maliit..like a 25 cents coin in diameter..would it be like damage limitation lang or completely mawawala talaga yung crack? Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend you must replace it at casa through your insurance, also, you may read thru again your insurance policy kung magakano talaga yung deductible (yun yung participation mo). but if its says deductible is 8000 it seems your insurance has a high premiums? mine is innova e and got a policy deductible of 3,800 only sa standard insurance.

They fill the imperfection with silica (?). When it cures, it's as if nothing happened.

The substance they use is strong enough to prevent fracture lines from progressing (for hairline cracks) and make the line virtually invisible.

Benchride: Yup medyo mataas nga premium ko,Innova G a/t yung sa kin..lets ask dun sa ibang naka G a/t d2 sa forum kung magkano participation nila..

Otep: thanks papainquire ko nlang sa cousin ko dun sa above mentioned shops..if it cures the crack and it would last naman,i'd give it a shot..

hello, just signed in to your group... im also an innova owner for 1 year na... so far so good... kaya lang last week i went to makati to pickup my camera at canon phils. in pasong tamo... i parked sa may goldilocks pero hindi ko n pinatay ang engine kasi kasama ko family ko... it took me about 15 mins... pagbalik ko as i was backing up na... i noticed the engine starting to stall(parang kinakapos) when i changed gears to drive biglang namatay ang makina... kinabahan ako kasi first time nanyari ito... whan i tried to re-start the engine ayaw nya magstart... then i tried again and it started... i proceeded to drive and everything went smooth, parang walang nangyari... mga fellow innova owners, what do you think happened and what do you think i should do? ngayon my innova is just fine...

Luigi, you might want to check the some electrical components. Do you have a diesel engine or gasoline engine?
If you have a diesel engine, check the fuse that protects the solenoid that opens up the fuel line. Best to read the manual to find out which fuse this is. You may also want to have your alternator checked as a faulty one may deliver electricity erratically causing some components or the fuse to break.

Overall, the problem I think seems to be electrical in nature. Of course, I may be wrong.

Better consult your dealer for possible parts failure or abnormality. In my personal opinion, it may probably normal due to high engine temperature that exceeded (something) thermal protection on the engine to enable electro-mechanical interlocking to stop the engine. That is, everything will go back to normal when running below the set point temperature.

As per ecport opinion, he may be right. But for me, you can't start your engine when fuse supplying the control to start the engine has blown already. The alternator may be at fault, but you can still start your engine through the battery.
In any case, consult the experts (at Toyota)

I understand deductible is 0.5% or less to about 0.4% of insured value. say if your unit is Innova G a/t SRP Ps. 1,064,000 your deductible then is Ps 5,320. Deductible is within the range of 0.4% ~ 0.5% with 0.6 to 0.7% on a high side. Annual premiums is computed as follows: sum insured Ps 1,064,000, with policy deductible of 0.5% (negotiate at 4.5% or less)

You mentioned your insurance co is Standard ba? Kasi mine is Prudential with 1% deductible so P10,000 as deductible, Pwede ba negotiate to lower deductibles? kung pwede I'm sure mas mataas premium mo...
