June 25, 2005 pala lumabas yon problem ng Innova ni StrayWolf almost 4 months na din.
Kakatapos lang ng unit ko today and i notice that engine noise reduced pero konti lang for now wait and see nalang ako. Sana ok na forever.

Guys, saan ba nakalagay yung horn fuse sa ride natin? Ilang amps ba yon? Is it necessarry to upgrade it to higher amp when the stock horns are replaced by a new one like stebel?

tagal din akong di napadaan sa thread na to. anyway, corrected the entry for our innova (its white, not red). so far walang nabago sa innova namin except sa rear mirror. we got this stick-on mirror sa back glass from the malugay shops. more than 1 month running na and wala pa namang problema sa stick-on mirror.

1. Did they say anything about the new pump if the installed pump has corrected whatever is the defect in the OEM unit?

2. Does the 3 year warranty starts again on DAY 1 on the replacement date?

3. Is the reduced engine noise related to the defective pump? Why? Coz I noticed engine noise increased on both my innova and kia sedona and attributed it as something normal.

Hi, It's a long time since I last posted here.
Anyways, so far so good. I don't have any problems with the engine anymore. Kaya lang, everytime I start my ride, nagkaka flash-back ako na hindi nanaman mag andar...

1. They told me that the supply pump is MODIFIED. I ask them in what way?
They reply that the new supply pump has more tolerant ability on our diesel.

2. Warranty remain the same, from the day you purchase your Innova.

3. When my Innova started having this problem i noticed that TAKA TAKA noise is increasing rapidly. Engine vibration is wild when start and turning off engine. When my CRDi is replaced, all are gone. Hopely the problem is solved.

larshell, ok pa ang unit ko since I had the fuel filter checked and cleaned and the problem went away. Mas praning lang ngayon, expecting it to happen again.

Innovaboy, what's the requirement to join the innova yahoo group? My application was rejected. Ok lang, no big deal naman.

have a querrie re the keyless remote... i have noticed na maigsi lang ang effective range niya whenever i want to lock or unlock my innova i have to be at least 2 feet away lang from the car otherwise i cannot unlock or lock my car using the remote keyless option.. is there a way to increase the effective range? kasi my old car with the cheap taiwan alarm e kahit na 10 meters effective pa rin whenever i arm or unarm it e...

Actually kahit naman ipaggawa mo yan mababawasan lang yong pagka praning mo konti dahil maiisip mo din pano kung wala na ang warranty or biglang magloko ulit. walang peace of mind db? kaya yong unit ko is forsale

Have you guys undergone fuel tank strap replacement? I just got a letter from our SA regarding their special service campaign. It says in the letter that Toyota has determined that a specific batch of fuel tank straps of Innova produced between the periods June 6 to 21 may not meet their durability performance standard, thus as a precaution, the straps require replacement with brand new ones free of charge. This service is not included in the recommended regular PMS. Well, this doesn’t apply to those units produced outside the given period, however, it would be safe to ask the SA of the matter all the same.

My SA from Toyota Pasong Tamo also called me up last week to notify me to bring my Innova back to them for additional welding to be done at the mounting points of the fuel tank carrier bracket - My unit was released May 20.

Hmmm, now I don't know what they will really do - replace the strap/bracket or just add weld points to strengthen the mounting.

from motioncars.com, our innova diesel engine max output 102bhp/3600rpm, max torque 200nm/1400-3200rpm m/t, 260 nm/1600-2400rpm a/t. What does these mean in terms of:

1. best acceleration?
2. best fuel economy?
3. other benefits?

I will be bringing my unit when the odo reaches 5k. Though I need to inform them few days before bringing it to them for preparations. It says the replacement job will take just an hour and a half.
