I also got my unit May 24 but until now wala pa kong OR/CR. I called up my SA kahapon upon learning you got your plate na sabi sa aken kung okay lang ba na 0 or 9 ang plate ending, ayoko kasi yung isang car ko 9 na ang ending. So I told her na I'll wait. Good for you! Di ka na maabala sa daan just in case may nang huhuli ng no plate...![]()
Just had my 1000 km PMS yesterday using fully synthetic oil. Gumanda hatak at based sa MID ba o MDI? ah whatever...nag improve FC ko before 1000 km ang range ng FC ko ay 6 to 6.7 km/li but after 1000 km nag improved ang FC ko range is from 7.5 to 9.1 km/li city drive yan.
By the way, my SA informed me na dumating na ang OR/CR and Authority to Drive from LTO. She will courier it today. I should receive it tommorrow. Ayos, at least bawas kaba na. Wait na lang sa plates. Ang first choice ko sana ending is 8, pero sabi nya matagal daw ang ganyang plate dahil maraming requests. So I said, other numbers na lang except 5, 6 (wed) and 9, 0 (fri). Sana mga two weeks after makuha ko na tulad ng kay Liv.
Good question ego. I will be doing my 1000 km PMS this Saturday. Ang quote sa akin 4,010 ang fully synthetic oil & filter and sabi nga rin sa akin it is good for 10,000km. Yung ordinary is just 1,500. Is it worth the money? Bawi ba talaga sa FC? Or is it much better to change the ordinary oil every 5,000 km? Hope to get your views on this.
Maraming salamat po.
lapit na rin 1000 km PMS ko at eto rin concern ko. me improvement ba talaga in terms of hatak and FC? di ba masyado matagal kung 10,000 km. pa bago mag change oil uli using fully synthetic? whereas kung mineral oil or ung me synthetic blend e kada 5,000 km. di ba mas maganda kung lagi bago ung oil ng mga engines natin?hope to be enlightened.

I've been using Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic since my 5k PMS. Please take note na kaya gumanda ang fuel consumption ng iba after the 1k PMS is because tapos na sila sa break in period. More or less, lumuwag na ang dapat lumuwag. I started at 7.3 before my 1k and am now getting 8.8 city driving at 18k.
Cost po ng 2 change oil for 10k km (mineral is approximately 3,000) while (fully synthetic is 3,700). A difference of 700 will not hurt that much if you will see it from the point of view na your engine will be cleaner and safer from future deterioration.
Am thinking nga of changing spark plugs every 5k km instead of 10k coz mura lang naman at P400 per set. What matters most is the fact na nasa top performance palagi ang car.
For those who allege that they cannot afford fully synthetic, cut on cigarettees, liquor, bars, girls and other expenditures and spend more on your car. Ako cigarettees na lang ang di ko natanggal and am glad na I'm doing myself a very big favor for quitting on vices and for spending more on my car's much needed maintenance.
I just don't get it, some can afford to buy a car worth 700k + and yet they can't afford to buy fully synthetic? Just my two cents.
Actually, it still depends on the users. I think yung oil variants kasi ay may iba't-ibang viscosity. Usually for new cars, maganda ang fully synthetic but again, mas expensive ito.![]()
Sa akin kasi, you can go for semi-synthetic and schedule every 5,000 kms ang oil mo kasi kahit new ang engine, may mga dumi na na-create iyan dahil sa friction na rin sa loob ng makina. I-lubricate lang naman ito. I had a car na 250,000 KMs na tinakbo pero ok pa din hatak. Alaga lang talaga sa oil.
Good maintenance will extend your engine's life![]()
I'm surprised with the price discrepancies bet. the synthetic and the mineral oils. As an example, using mineral oil during my first 1,000 kms PMS, the bill went to something like Php 1,2xx.xx inclusive of all charges and tax already. But if fully synthetic oil were used, it would have been something like Php 3,4xx.xx, which is very nearly 3x the price for mineral oil. I think if the difference bet. synthetic and mineral would be just Php 700 in total (not by per liter), then a lot more would naturally opt for the synthetic.
