10T for a Honda CR-V radiator? What year model? 1998? And it's not even original radiator.

After discussing with the sales consultant.. she said there was no reported carjacking of the Forester in her branch because the carjackers would rather take a fortuner or innova.. since I'm after safety including the 6 SRS bags and headone collision safety rating of the frames.. then I ordered a Forester 2016.
Sang dealership? What color and variant?

    See:

I was trying to choose between Fortuner, Innova and Forester. I have elderly who will ride with me at times.
The fortuner is too high.. the Innova is so taxi image.. the Subaro is low enough like the CRV. So I think I'll order a
2016 Forester tomorrow. What is a good color. Is pearl white a good one or the silver?

    Deser Khaki.

Subaro Global City. The sales rep said the 2.0i-L (facelifted edition) at 1,448,000 only has white pearl and silver left in their main warehouse. I got the silver.

Do you guys know Johnny Air Cargo? If any item shipped from US is less than $1000. They charge by weight so if subaro parts like radiator weights 5 lbs.. you pay only about 2k for the shipment without taxes. This is after you shipped the item from any US location to their New York forwarder address. I did this more than 10 years without any taxes paid for items less than $1000. So this is a great way to order subaro parts from US. I asked Subaro if they can service units with my own parts. Yes daw.

Is the Forester 2.0i-L sold in the US identical to the one sold in the Philippines? Are Subaro parts also expensive in the US compared to Toyota parts or are they same price there. And most important. Where in the US to order Subaro parts like radiators or fan motors which are the ones that break down easily after 5 years? Perhaps they are cheaper in US than the subaro service centers here.

Subaru is partly owned by toyota, i also do johhny air pero sa shoes, yes both are the same here and the states, except the tuning of the engine/specs...the NA has a larger displacement, the turbo version has a different tune coz of the quality of gasoline we use. When it comes to accesories, parehas lang.

    I checked amazon nga...

Amazon.com: TYC 2674 Subaru Forester 1-Row Plastic Aluminum Replacement Radiator: Automotive

meron pala sila radiator replacement ng forester na $75.81 lang (or 3600 pesos lang)?? Whereas the original forester radiator costs 39,000 pesos? Has anyone tried ordering parts from amazon and it successfully replaced by the local subaro casa? So this means meron rin pala replacement parts ang subaro sa ibang bansa?

Kasi my CRV.. after 6 years.. sabay sabay nasira yung radiator, fan motor, radiator motor, suspension, aircon evaporators, lock actuators, etc. If I buy original lahat.. mag reach ng over 200K.

I'm a bit confused about something. In the US.. there are no 2.0i-L.. it's mostly 2.5 liters.. in the following site:

OEM 214 Subaru Forester Parts and Accessories Online | Subaru of America

Their original Radiator only costs 15,000 pesos! Compare to the local price of 39,000! But they are all for the 2.5 L version.

Why is Philippines Forester only come in 2.0 L? What countries have this variant too so I can look for parts there.

Owning a Forester with spare parts from abroad at 3 times less price would remove all major reasons for owning a Forester.. which is availability of ok-cost parts..

I think the 2.0L NA Forester is only offered within the Asia market. The base Forester in the US comes with a 2.5L boxer engine, same one used on the Legacy and Outback.

It would have been better if Subaru offered the mid trim Forester Premium with the 2.5L engine instead of the 2.0L.

Why there is no 2.0? Correct me if im wrong, i think its a matter of taxation, they tax the bigger displacement vehicles here differently. In the early 2000s, honda sticked with the 2.0 engine on their crv to compete with the revo, they even added rear seats. marketed it also as an AUV stay in the price range of their competitors, Btw, last time i chked there is no crv 2.0 in the states also.

About johhny air, i was planning to purchase a invidia CBE a few months ago, i called johhny air for a computation, cost around 20k to ship the thing, ill just wait for my mother in law to settle back here nxt year, one of their perks is they could bring all their stuff including the furniture, pets, etc, Papasabay ko nalang.

So what parts is different between the 2.0i-L and 2.5i-L variants? The local Subaro service said replacing a single headlight assembly would cost 95,000 pesos! So are there lists online where the parts difference sbetween the two variants can be seen so we know which part is compatible and which part is not. Does this mean we can't buy any 2.0i-L parts anywhere? (like Subaro put the 2.0 L only for Philippines market.. but they couldn't have designed and manufactured special parts just for Philippines production?

About Johnny air. last time I shipped a 40k cost telescope.. they charged me 16k shipping.. so for other sizes and items.. they are expensive too.

There are suppliers outside dealers that sell parts cheaper. Try Carpower at Taft Avennue. The parts that brokedown in your CR-V are mostly related (cooling system). Most likely, only one of them broke down. If the problem was not addressed immediately, it affected the other parts.

Im not in the position to answer your question on why subaru's price here is so expensive, i dont work for motorimage. On parts, i dont see too many differences with the parts(except the engine internals) just contact the manufacturer directly, like what i did to invidia, if you have any question regarding parts. You need to do a little research yourself.

Has anyone have any experience with People's General Insurance? Subaro told me People's delayed so much the payments to them that now they will only release repaired car when People's General issued a cheque to them.

My car loan company is only tied up to them.

Or do you think CASE based insurance is better? but I may lose up to 35K for it.. In People's General.. free first year but need to lock up for 2nd to 3rd year. Ano experience nyo sa insurance ng Forester nyo?

Stop feeding the troll. He probably doesn't have a Subaru Forester since he can't even spell it correctly. He can't even afford to properly maintain a 6-year old CR-V and then considers importing a radiator?

Why are you so rude? I just bought a Forester 2016 Facelifted model and just asking where to import parts since the ones at local Subaro dealer is so expensive.. if you don't want to share.. then don't!

My CR-V is 12 years old. Starting 6 years ago. All the parts started to break down and they quoted me from 50K to 150K repair many times. So with the Forester twice more expensive price, it may even be costly to maintain.

Anyway. Ok. I'll look elsewhere for other forums for the parts. And leave you rude people alone here.
