First Subaru Forester owner, mine is 2015 i-P
Very satisfied! i don't need the turbo trim, and i dont have the money for that.
i love the way it handles the curves, and it is very stable in high speed. i'm doing
140kph in TPLEx pero feel ko nasa 100k pa lang. Very good passing power. mauuna ka sa express ways.
Great acceleration. at not common sa lansangan...

Got a Subaru forester xt last sept 2015 in Subaru Alabang with in house compre insurance. Had an accident last nov 12 2015 requiring replacement of right rear door and the qtr window at the back.
Got the loa to proceed only last week dec considering its an inhouse insurance. Up to now subaru alabang has not proceeded with the repair, waiting for advise of the parts required. Almost 2 mos now since my claim from their inhouse insurance under od. Have not used the car since the accident.
Any of you here have similar experience with your subaru accident claims?
    TIA

My experience with subaru bgc, di nila ino order parts unless may loa. So may dalawang waiting time, loa and parts. Outside insurance ko and they told me kung in house mas madali. Ginawa ko sabi ko ako na mag bayad at dumating naman kaagad parts in more or less 15 days iirc. Aside sa delay ng insurance mo BAKA lang contributing factor din na hindi motorimage yang dealer sa alabang at extra step to go thru motorimage to acquire parts

    Thanks Flip.
That was also my thought na di motor image ang Subaru alabang. Just got to talk with them. Parts will be arriving Early feb. Hopefully i can have my car repaired end Feb. 4 mos total .
Lesson of the day If you buy a Subaru never get into a situation that you have a part replaced. They dont have them in stock and will take at least 45 days to get them.
I was also informed that even the headlight took them 2 mos to replace.

with so much subarus (forester, to clarify) on the road, i would have expected them to have more parts availability.

i guess they are still not mainstream enough and are unwilling to stock up on parts.

i read somewhere on this forum that the 40,000 kms for a subaru costs more than 40k? is that correct? is this really true?

i called up their sales to ask and the sales people told me that normal 40,000 kms pms is about 10k unless they have to replace certain parts.

Does the 100k discount apply to the total price or to the DP? Ginulo kasi ako ng ahente yung 100k parang Dun nya binabawas sa SRP habang nagsasalestalk sya

Is it in house financing or own bank? I also had a huge discount before, it was 80k, i told i have a loan already approved by metro and security bank, that time they have a promo of free insurance and no chattel mortgage, saved me an additional 57k and 20k. So i saved around 150k+, To answer your question, yes dun a dp ko pinabawas, but tell them to write it down for you so di magulo

Thanks for the tips Mr Big! I would finance it using bank PO, likely with Security (y)

Another tip is ask for multiple qoutes from several dealers, start with greenhills first, ask for a qoute including their discount, then head off to bgc, tell them greenhills gave me this discount, can you beat this? Then to manila, batangas and alabang, until you get the best price.....i ended up in alabang, even though batangas was willing to give me a 100k discount, its closer to my place. Just dont forget to give a tip to the agent, kahit 3k lang, they will make that discount happen.

This tactic seems really helpful. Especially limited ang color na may malaking discount, baka pwedeng makuha yung preferred color mo with a large discount. I'll try this on Friday (sched of my test drive). Thanks again Mr. Big.

may chart kasi subaru ng expected cost per service. tama yang sinabi sayo sir, di naman nasusunod yung chart like sa case ko pang 20k km na latest service menu ko (14,000km sa odo) which should have cost around PHp20kish pero dahil walang pinalitan na parts except battery, Php12k lang bill ko including the panasonic batt * around Php5k.

pwede rin mangyari yan sir kung ipa approve niyo sa bank yung discounted srp. same DP pero lower amortization. kung ako, i choose this kung ready and disposable naman na yung pang dp ko para maliit monthly at di na mag interest yung 100k
