One night I saw an XT running with its dimples in LED - macho, astig, and cool along with the foglights especially if your headlights are only in park mode.

Sir, If youve driven a wrx or a sti around the corners youll understand, you just dont break that much, sticks like glue sa curves...the engress is easy like a car, leg room is adequate for 6 footers and lastly the power. very easy to reach sti level with a few mods and a tweak via ecutek

Napabili ako nung tinest drive ko yung Forester. You'll feel the planting power Mr Big talked about earlier.

Buy a 7 seater if you need it. Although more practical people would flock towards these since these are cheaper to run, also considering traffic in the main thoroughfares.

Driving a forester is like driving a car but with a high seating position. It drives sharper but is also more comfortable. Its like an explorer, extremely popular in gated communities and cbds but rare outside metro manila. (Except when its a holiday then they're all over Luzon looking for 95+ octane)

I stick with caltex gold 95 if daily driving(in i mode, less than 2k rpm).. if out of town i like v power racing better than blaze.

How is the handling of Forester compared to Fortuner? with the arrival of the Fortuner 2016.. there are still those who prefer Fortuner.. I'm selecting between the two..

They are of different categories but if we do a forced comparison spacewise the Fort is the winner because of the seven seats. However, specs wise the Forester would be the winner. Speed power, the Forester would have the upper hand over the Fort diesels. My Forester NA, being a base model, offers disc-disc, rain sensing wipers, headlight cleaners, rear foglights, daytime running lights, 4x4 capability, hill stability, traction, ABS EBD the list goes on. You have to get the P2 million Fort variant just to get near that.

Another crucial difference is the steering, the Fort relies on the traditional rack and pinion while the Fozzie is already electric-powered. Yun ang nagpasarap sa handling along with the various stability and safety features.

Go with the fortuner if you want diesel and abundant parts, choose subaru if youre a fan of the brand for its power and handling. I said fan coz we dont mind fuel economy, if parts are scarce and the turbo goes pssssstt at 2400 rpm which sometimes smells bad.

EPS does not really improve handling characteristics of a vehicle. It actually negates it.

Not all EPS are dull and numb. It has to be tuned properly to match the car. Honda's EPS for its small cars (Jazz and City) are quite dull and lacks feel but the one on the new generation Accord is a much better.

The Fiesta has EPS but it offers good feedback and very responsive. Some Euro cars have now opted to use EPS but are still capable.

Aware of that fact, kindly read the quote again and understand why the reply is such. Poster made it seem that the EPS is one of the reasons why the Subaru Forester has good handling.

Note taken, bro. I guess what makes Subaru cars very good in handling is their AWD platform. They have long proven themselves in AWD platforms.

Panalo talaga yung Forester XT. However, they just increased the price by 50k. Nasa 1.918M na yung retail price, tapos wala pa discount.

I need to make a big case to convince the wife to sway for it. For now, she has her eyes set on the Mazda CX5 Sport AWD which is 200k+ less than the Forester XT.
