Usually that’s a sign of not enough freon.

Have your AC system checked for leaks.

Thank you guys ... replaced O-rings (2 pcs) ... added compressor oil ... reloaded Freon ... 2500 bucks ... mechanic said many repair shops (and dealers) fail to check the oil in the aircon compressor thereby causing premature failure ... O-rings and compressor oil should be checked every 2-3 years according to him ...

Took a long drive this afternoon 34 C ... so far, it's good ... Will observe for a couple more days ...

So, he has no shop of his own. Perhaps after he retires abroad, he can put up a shop.

Good thing it was only the orings that needed replacement. No leaks found in the whole system?

Mine had a very small leak in the evaporator which made my wallet cry.

He intends to do home service repair ...

Yeah, he diagnosed the leaking O-ring issue of the aircon compressor ... he's actually quite experienced and good ... he already knew to check the compressor when he heard it running ...

Had him check another vehicle's compressor also ... as expected, the O-rings also needed replacement ... compressor needed oil ... he used good quality Freon from Singapore ... he doesn't like to re-use old Freon since they have contaminants already ...

Can now cool the cabin up to 14-16C ... have one of those 3-in-1 voltmeter with temperature gauge ...

Evaporator is ok ... was tested for 30 minutes ... and then took a long drive the next day ... 3 days and so far, it's good ...

*Walter - please PM me the name and contact details of that mechanic. Just in case I feel my FXT’s aircon start to show the same symptoms. Thanks.

If it will not violate the forum rules, perhaps you can post the address or contact numbers in case someone will need his service.

Hi guys, mine is approaching 40k km, I think the ATF is scheduled for replacement. Do I need to bring to MI for servicing?

I tried Fusion R to replace my noisy bushings, and had my oil change at fixstop congressional, ok naman service nila.

He's going back abroad ... he just came as a favor ... he said he might setup shop when he returns ... was convincing him to stay since from tsikot referrals alone he can have a good clientele already ... but he needs to train some more ... me thinks he just likes tinkering with the Ferraris and Lambos there ...

Just remember to tell whoever will diagnose your aircon to check the O-rings and compressor oil first ... also ask what type of refrigerant they use ... apparently there are different brands of refrigerants available same as out engine oils ...

Better to bring to MI for ATF replacement ... CVTs are quite picky ... better to be safe ...

Did you apply one of those windshield chemicals? ... they tend to make wipers skip ...

    No. Definitely not. [emoji23]

What i meant was keep your car in the shade as much as possible.

I kept mine in the shade sa office, sa bahay, and i park sa shade as much as possible sa labas.

My OEM subaru wiper lasted 7 years.

    Kakapalit ko lang last year.
