Yes, that AVT. For 60k, its a rip off. Yun nga lang they are the only authorized 3rd party supplier. And will void the car's warranty if you put something else. And yes, at around 30k, you can get a good brand installed.

Once it goes it can get really fast it's just that you don't feel the power as much as when you are driving an automatic
Yes im normally in Sport mode na, im rarely using intelligent, and occassionally when the need arises, i use sport sharp. But the odd thing is, i feel like the car accelerates faster when not rushed than when u mash the pedal maybe this is the secret "technique" to get better FC and at the same time get more power out of it

Guys, how's the initial acceleration ng 2.0iL variant is it the same like the XT(pag wala pa sa turbo mode ang XT)? I test drove kasi yung XT and I like the initial acceleration malakas ang hatak, sabi ng SA pareho lang ng 2.0, wala kc silang pang test drive na 2.0iL variant. Also, kasama ba ung flyaudio(30K) pag na-install void din ung warranty? Ang sabi kc nung SA, void ang warranty pag nag-splice. Since plug & play ang flyaudio will it void warranty din? I'll ask my SA Tuesday and share na rin sa inyo, just wanting to know if parepareho say ng other dealers .

MI is not stupid.. They will not void your whole car if you just change the HU.. Sinong SA yan.. ??? Mga ibang SUBARU Owner, mas grabe ang upgrade, MI still accomodate the warranty as long as its valid..

Cool your nuthead. I was talking about HU with back up cam then the discussion evolved to HU only.

I agree. When it comes to subaru, a lot of people pa rin are not that familiar with the brand. So I guess Resale value is not as high as a toyota. Second hand
buyers will always looks for brand that are familiar. I have a brother who argue with me that "if that brand is good, why I don't see as much as I could see
    a toyota in the street".

When it comes to maintenance I believe the price range are almost the same. Our Fortuner (which is a diesel) cost around 7-8K every PMS. I go with
the month based PMS every 7 months.

Sabihin mo "well you dont see a lot of Ferraris, Lamborginis, Rolls Royces, and Bentlys on the street, so on that logic they must not be good brands either..." LOL

Guys, I jut got a Subaru forester 2.0iL. And changed the HU to Fly Audio HU. I was told not void ang warranting since walang splicing... To be sure, I even ask them to install it. initially ayaw, but I threaten to get from another dealer nalang if ganaun, so they eventually agreed.... Hope to see my Subbie here in the province by wed...

Guys have you ever wondered why is the trip computer and the mano mano compute have a big difference sometimes? as much as 8%. The usual thinking is that the trip computer is not accurate enough against our mano mano compute. What if (thats a big IF) we assume that the trip computer is the accurate one, and that our mano mano compute is the less accurate one, do you think that if the gasoline pump at the station reads 40liters of fuel was loaded, is it really 40liters? The pump is only mechanical equipment and subject for error, what if the actual loaded was only 37liters kahit na 40liters ang reading ng pump???

check your tire pressure. 31 to 32psi is a good start. over inflated pag galing sa casa

I still drive on Intelligent mode 90-95% of the time I feel it's enough for my city driving, and I go to Sports mode sometimes just to have fun with the car or when I need to lang. Plus, it's like a game for me to try and get good FC every time I drive But yes you're right, I think it's just the characteristic of the CVT, since the acceleration is very linear, so even if u mash the pedal, it won't behave like a regular automatic.

Sir I was actually thinking about this last week. On my second full tank (Petron Blaze), I noticed that my FC took a hit, which was very weird because not only did the car perform better than my first tank sa computer (computer averaged 7.6km/l but mano mano gave me 6.1km/l), I knew for a fact na wala ako masyadong traffic na na-encounter, and was monitoring my FC to be much better than my first full tank. Also, if ever may discrepancy, I doubt it would be that big (25% difference).

I tried to research about it and found out that sometimes, fuel pumps would prematurely stop and detect that your tank is full already because of fumes and pressure buildup that confuses the sensor, leading it to believe the tank is already full. I noticed that my 2nd tank was only filled 45liters, although meron pa naman talagang natira sa fuel since I still had around 2 bars left, but after driving for a short while lang the fuel meter sa car already showed 1 bar consumed. Mabilis din naubos yung tank na yun, around 330kms traveled lang my fuel warning was already lit.

My 3rd tank, was with Unioil's Quantum 97, the fuel pump was older and slower, so yung pag fill up nya ng tank ko, mas dahan dahan. Plus I turned my engine off while filling the car. It filled up to 55liters, which is why my mano mano computation got a bad 6.1km/l reading for my second tank. My take here is that hindi talaga napuno yung tank ko during my second fill up (Petron Blaze), which is why naubos din agad yung fuel. Mabilis kasi yung pump ng Petron, and my car was still running while it was being filled up. It could be that the fumes and pressure buildup caused the Petron pump to prematurely click and stop. Then, when I refueled on a slower pump sa Unioil, it filled it up really good. Sa experience ko ngayon sa 3rd tank ko, matagal ko syang na drive bago nabawasan ng 1 bar yung fuel meter ko. I already drove 200-225kms and meron pa half yung tank ko rin.

So yes, I think that sometimes, the mano mano computation is the wrong one as well. In fact, I initially thought may kalokohan si Unioil, and that maybe hindi calibrated yung pump nila. Then I realize through some research na hindi rin ganon ka accurate pala yung "automatic stop" ng mga fuel pumps, in fact may tamang pagpasok pa daw nun, dapat daw hindi nakapasok ng buo, halfway lang yung pump sa tank.
