Yes, normal yun as per M.I. Advised. Cold start may vibration and better Antayin mo mawala yung icon na blue "it means" Malamig pa si boxer engine bago ka mag shift to D . Haha

Same here, so tinanong ko na bat ganon and bago kami mag test drive ng forester search/check muna ng reviews from other forums. So far sulit ang Subaru and boxer engine tipid siya Dahil sa new tranny lineartronic. Our first Subaru car, though under observation pa din kasi Hindi pa nakaka abot ng 1600k.

    hi guys!
I've been driving my forester xt for 2 weeks already.
earlier today i checked on the hood and noticed that the coolant level is above the LOW level.
i didnt check if that was the original level when i got the unit. should i refill it or just leave at that level?

    thank you!

shouldnt be a problem as long as it doesnt go below the low level.

Question lang po mga sirs.

Hello sirs. Sorry for the delayed reply. I know most of you are in suspense about the oil consumption issue. Ganun din po ako. Just had my 10k pms this morning. They replaced the oil level sensor which kept the oil level warning lighting up. The SA said that it was damaged. The SA also said that the techs could not find anything wrong on why there was oil consumption so what they'll do is to email the concern to their bosses in Japan. I asked him to also send me the reply of their boss. I mentioned that everyone in tsikot is waiting for the update. Hopefully they will answer back. By the way, the SA mentioned that mine was the 4th case of having such concern (though not with a Forester. I think those were brz or wrx if I recalled it correctly).

I just would like to ask all FORESTER base model owner here, I am in a dilemma of choosing between the XV and the base model of the Forester. How is the fuel consumption of the base model of Forester compared to XV? I really would prefer getting the base model of the Forester sana, but I am just worried because of the bigger and heavy body of the Forester compared to the XV baka kako very significant yung difference sa fuel consumption. TIA.

Forester NA owner here.

Same engine and transmission on the XV and the base model Forester. I think the base forester is only 60kg heavier. So if space is your main priority, go for the forester. If it's fuel consumption, the XV should has a very slight edge.
