slightly OT but still speaking of masks.

ang 3m made in usa n95 is selling at 350per pc. sa mga reseller.

mga taiwan mask 750 nun kasagsagan a couple of months back is now at 350pesos per 50pcs.

mga negosyante nga naman tsk tsk.

Cathy di ko gets your endpoint

is it all or nothing ba?

either use N95 / surgical or huwag na?

cloth mask is = no mask?

Can't expect everyone to wear N95

getting everyone to cooperate and wear a mask PROPERLY is already hard enough

what more getting everyone to wear a high quality mask

    mission impossible yan

    --

it's fairy tale fantasy to see everyone naka high quality mask (in a 3rd world country where people don't have enough to eat)

    --

sa US dami ayaw mag mask just to make a political statement

surgical or N95 dapat talaga. If people can afford to buy uniqlo masks then they are better off buying surgical masks.

Siyempre those that cannot afford na mag surgical daily, no choice ang cloth, at least mababawasan yung lalabas na droplets

Like this one Sumasabay pa yung clothing companies. Do these masks offer protection? Swimsuit fabric?

We have been talking about wearing of face masks during this time but some sports like tennis and badminton are allowed “not to wear face masks” during play. The “heavy breathing” scenario is critical and playing a game (with close proximity) for at least 15 mins, is beyond the protocol of social distancing.

    Your thoughts?

Have been playing regularly since GCQ allowed it. The close contact with your doubles partner makes it likely to transmit if either one of you are carriers.

So I make it a point to only play with close friends who I know have no contact (i.e. we are all WFH). No more queuing groups for now.

Sobrang higpit kasi at talagang nahihirapan ako huminga.. Like public markets..

Some of these people have literally nothing to eat anymore. Some lost their jobs, some lucky few are just starting to work again. You can't expect them to buy high quality face mask.

    This is the sad reality.

kaya mabuti nna meron facemasks kahit cloth lang kesa wala talaga.

I understand why some have a hard time with their cloth mask, kaya binababa. Kasi the cut of the cloth mask is straight from the nose down to the mouth. It flattens the nose, mahirap talaga huminga. Yun ang gamit ng most of my workers.

But the retailers should not give an impression na fully protected na pagka naka cloth mask. Not everyone is aware of that.

It's true, mahirap talaga huminga ng naka mask, I thought it was just me, kaya pala the first time I ever wore it, napaisip ako kung may heart disease or lung problem ako. Doctors and nurses make it look so easy kasi.

If it does not get worse, yung Balik Probinsiya kasi created more problems due to hasty and improper implementation of protocols.

They should set the example.

The requirement of most countries is only cloth masks. No need for surgical masks. Even home made cloth masks will suffice. You only need to wear surgical masks or N95 masks when you know that you will go to high risk areas like hospitals. Groceries and public markets are not considered covid high risk areas.

Even airlines and airports do not require their passengers to wear surgical masks.
