Roque, who first tested positive on March 15, has recovered from the disease on March 25. He has not been vaccinated since protocols dictate that infected patients must wait for 90 days before getting the jab.

Napakamalas naman ni Roque, or isn't that still the same virus it's less than a month since March 15?

Then this week he contracted the COVID19 and was finally admitted this time sa PGH

SARSCOV2 test specifically looks for SARSCOV2 genes

if the swab picked up flu virus and the test was run, hindi makikita ang flu virus genes coz the test kit is focused on SARSCOV2 genes

the test was designed to be so specific that they even had to exclude other coronaviruses

DOH also maintains that nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab specimens remain as the standard specimen for the diagnosis of COVID-19 through RT-PCR testing. The conduct of saliva tests should only be done on certain conditions and are deemed valid when such conditions are met. As stipulated in the guidelines, morning saliva is preferred as specimen due to higher viral load but this should not prevent specimen collection at any other time. Proper collection procedure should also be strictly observed where patients should not eat, drink, brush their teeth, use mouthwash or smoke for at least 30 minutes before sample collection.
