the economic reality of investing in their employees' health.

Shakey’s to vaccinate all employees for free

you've got to inoculate to make the take.

    sign of the times.

Actually, ako rin. Marami akong affluent acquaintances who take. & why? They will take no chances, lalo na without any assurances with the vaccines.

if it's affordable, available, and does not kill a significant number of its users,
    "why not!"
i mean, "what do i have to lose?"

    just look around us,
do we see just how many people are walking around with talismans on their wrists? around their necks?
    heh heh.

    i really don't know

    depende sa tao yan

keep in mind even without vaccine most people don't develop acute respiratory distress

    hanggang fever, cough lang

so if you got vaccine at nahawa ka, baka mas mild pa maexperience mo

Sometimes, I am flabbergasted by the amount of ignorance to simple health issues some people have. Rich or poor, it doesn’t matter. Rich people’s drivers who are not stay in, accepting visitors into the house because they’re friends or relatives, not observing mask rules in their work places because they know the people there, dining in restos.... those with a medical/science background would have these come naturally but, not even all do.

    at least,
that is what current observation suggests.
we still have a long way to go, at understanding covid.

the very wide range of effect on people

on one end you have people who are totally asymptomatic

on the other end you have those who can't breathe

Interpretation ko from what I heard before, with this, it will depend on the amount of virus inhaled (viral load) & the level of immunity (or immunosuppression).
A group of people where I visit occasionally, were considered asymptomatic but, they may not have noticed that there was something askew because they always have coughs or nasal discharge but never had fever. They are the ones who wear masks under their chins & don’t believe in being restrained by the covid rules. Problema dyan, they were super spreaders.

it's probably because there is no guarantee that we will be among the lucky 98%.

as my old dearly departed teacher in infectious disease said,
"that 2% might as well be 100%, if you or your loved one is in it."

imagine the fear in everyone there,
if only but one of the guests comes down with covid.
'twill be a challenge for the contact tracers.
    heh heh.

    opinion regarding vaccines may change,
    as information previously un-available,
    comes to light.

this is a reason why indications for use, evolve.

    sometimes,
politics is blamed for policy changes that have an actual scientific basis naman pala.
