Magaling naman talaga doctors abroad, at least sa US. Parang yung regular nila equivalent na ng magaling dito hehe. Plus most good doctors here had education or training abroad
That is why my anxiety is at an all time high, with a 20% positivity rate, imagine when you go out, 2 out of 10 people you encounter are positive![]()

Sorry Cathy but I beg to differ. Its not the Doctor but the equipment used are the latest & advancements are always on hand. Pinoy Doctors who have access to these are at par with those abroad. Also, consider the acceptance of certain procedures here like say Heart Transpant surgery which is too expensive that it never took off. Which brings us to Medical Insurance that is not common & makes medical care inaccesible to the common pinoy.

i vehemently dis-agree!
american doctors do not hold the patent to medical intelligence.
i've been there. i've seen it. except for the skin color and the language, they're just like us over here.
but they do have an advantage: over there, they have money for medical care.
MVP in reflective mood after getting confined in Makati Med 4 times in 4 months for heart problem, knee injury, COVID
A Babbler explained that Pangilinan went through a hellish period in the last four months which the point man of Indonesian billionaire Anthoni Salim confirmed in a heartfelt letter on Easter Sunday.
“I write to you this time from my room at Makati Medical Center, a victim of COVID twice over. This year has been particularly harrowing for me health-wise. My current confinement is the fourth in as many months – the first four cardiac stents, the second for an injured left knee, and the last two fo COVID,” said Pangilinan in the message addressed to his co-workers at PLDT and Smart.
“But as the song goes, ‘I’m still standing…looking like a true survivor.’ There must be a message there somewhere,” the 74-year old executive said.

But the good doctors here trained or studied abroad (at least those I know) It's true re the equipment and even medicines ata, they have the best in the US. It's one of the major factors why I would consider moving there (better access to health care)
doc, I didn't say naman na US doctors lang ang magaling, I'm just saying na maraming magalingAlso, this is beyond race ha, my Mom's doctor in the US though born and raised there, he is of middle eastern race ata. Dami na kasing close call ng maternal Lola ko pero I credit the US health care for her long life and even my Aunties and Uncles abroad, all in their 80s.
My Mom pala, I thought I would lose her in 2012, exactly the same issue as my Uncle who passed in 1999. My Uncle was hospitalized in MMC (considered one of the best hospitals in the 90s) and money was NOT an issue to them, yet they were not able to save him. My Mom naman went to a regular hospital in the US and they were able to save her. Saka grabe lahat ng pwede itest tinest May utang pa ata kami from that hospitalizationPero tumaas talaga tingin ko sa US na hindi sila "money down" Yung principle na lives first totoo talaga
It was only AFTER my Mom recovered na my Tita said na when I told them ano naging problema ni Mommy, they knew na tagilid but they didn't tell me na that was what happened to my Uncle. Not sure dahil ba technology changed na from 1999 to 2012 pero wala naman operation, ang term sakin ni Tita ko sa US "binomba ng magagaling na gamot" My Mom was out of the hospital before I could even fly there
Saka dr d, si Dr APS, Dr Cutie, Dr JG US trained/educated kaya :P Even the other doctors na recommended nila puro US trained or educatedikaw nga dr d, didn't you study in the US din?

ayoko nga lumabas bahay, lalo na drive thru e ilan tao na test nun. Baka yung tester pa asymptomatic
I WANT TO KNOW, why some seniors are asymptomatic to covid. JE mentioned na the OLDER siblings of Erap are positive but asymptomatic, so 80s na mga yan. WOW! Yung wife ang galing naman, 90s hindi nahawa. It seems like may mga tao talaga na mabilis kapitan ng covid, anong factor kaya makes them more susceptible...
