    levity aside,
many non-asians have a very poor grasp of east asian geography... even as google is easily consult-able. i suppose it's because we all fit inside the monitor.
they equate us all as coming from the same place, separated only by a language and constitution..

    Source for source. hehe

Source of problem, source of the majority of funds. Of course others are encouraged to contribute as per capacity as well. Hindi yung pa-pogi lang sa amo.

New cases in Japan are quite worrisome. No recent foreign travels and contact with anyone from China.

None of Japan's new coronavirus patients had direct China links -
    Nikkei Asian Review

TOKYO -- Japan's first domestic coronavirus victim and three patients newly confirmed Thursday had no direct connections to China, raising concerns that a stealth outbreak is already under way in the country.

Those cases raise new challenges for health officials, who until now had been trying to contain the virus by closely monitoring people with the possibility of contracting the disease. If more people with no direct links to China become sick, determining infection routes will become impossible. Instead of containment, treating seriously sick people may have to become the priority.

Kato added that "there is no epidemiological data suggesting a domestic [coronavirus] epidemic."

Local infection taking hold in Japan?

Patient at infected doctor's hospital in Japan tests positive for coronavirus

WAKAYAMA, Japan – A man in his 70s who was treated at a hospital in western Japan where a doctor was recently confirmed to have been infected with a new coronavirus has also tested positive for it, local officials said Friday, February 14, although they denied the two came into contact.

A local government official warned infections could be spreading outside of the medical facility as the man developed symptoms before he visited the hospital on February 6.

COVID-19: Catholic Church in Singapore suspends all Masses

SINGAPORE – In light of the rising number of confirmed COVID-19 coronavirus cases in Singapore, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese has announced an “indefinite suspension of public Masses, both weekday and weekend, with effect this weekend”, Saturday (15 February), 12pm.

In a pastoral letter published on Facebook on Friday evening (14 February), Archbishop William Goh said that “the cancellation of Masses does not mean that Catholics can excuse themselves from fulfilling the obligation of keeping the Day of the Lord holy”. Catholics have an obligation to attend Mass on Sunday. “They should try to follow the broadcast of the Mass on YouTube or CatholicSG Radio,” he said.

So oil will flood the market? Might mean cheaper fuel?
