maganda in the sense na lcd ba naman ang rear view instead of a mirror...

but the disadvantage, pag maulan, sa expressway, stop ka muna to wipe your cameras di ba?
isa pa sir kapag LCD gamit mo at maliwanag, parang mahirap mahagilap ung daanan kapag gabi... at kapag gabi, maliwanag parin ba ung kuha ng camera???

Tailgate Up or Down Revisited: Mesh tailgate, hardcover, tailgate removal

    See: Tailgate Up or Down
For the original myth they did a driving test and a water vortex test, both of which showed that you save more gas with the tailgate up. Their viewers suggested that they test three new conditions:
    • Hardroof cover over pickup bed
    • Mesh tailgate
    • Remove the entire tailgate
They had a much simpler test setup this time. They had an electronic flowmeter hooked into fuel line of Jamie's pickup. Adam: "For anyone out there that wants to e-mail telling me that we screwed up this test, we have already calibrated this thing, to this car. So it's going to be perfect!" They drove the pickup truck up and down the stretch of 101 around Candlestick and the Cow Palace.
    • Tailgate down: 5.2 gallons/hr * 55mph. 1.2 gallons/hr * 25.
    • Tailgate up: 5.0 gallons/hr * 55mph. No reading for 25mph given, but tailgate up was once again confirmed as more efficient.
    • Hardcover over pickup bed: 5.0 gallons/hr * 55mph. 1.2 gallons/hr *25mph
    • Tailgate mesh: 5% more efficient
    • Tailgate removed: about the same as tailgate up and hardcover
Mesh was most efficient by 5%
    still busted

    av8or5, nakasynthetic ka na bro?

sir thepatriarch, been using synthetic since i got my unit, and the only thing i can feel is the huge hole it's burning in my petty cash fund!!!! the synthetic naman is good for turbo charged engines so definitely it'll be a whole lot better for your engine if you dont mind spending a litle bit more

I believe that the drag coefficient goes down when truck bed is covered with a lid leading to higher fuel efficiency. This I believe is true for all pick-ups, including our stradas.

But how significant the fuel savings be will depend on how you use your truck, i.e., if for city driving, the savings will be less than when you travel often in the highways.

In my opinion , the fuel saved is insignificant when you use your strada mainly for city driving, as in my case.

Ako kahit panay city driving lang I still want a sport lid, kasi japorms eh, hehehe

i assume the rear mirror/lcd in one is nice to have. I think the camera will only turn on if you are on reverse gear. I haven't seen one personally, but I bet its as good as and lcd type. For me, the rear camera will just guide me when backing up. my rear camera has night mode, which the reverse lights also help in backing up at night.

synthetic: I am sure I'll invest on synthetic on my 5K PMS. I am assuming ill drive 5K every 6 months, so in turn i'll change my oil once a year, but change oil filter 2x a year.

bed cover: for me, ill get one because it increases storage area and not because of fuel savings. Now, I just have to save up for one.

    sir,

where's the location of the shop you had the turbo timer installed??do you habve to set the timer everytime you turn off the engine?
