Hey guys,
Yup I guess that was us you saw G01. We probably just came from our hotel in Laoag and doing some last minute shopping at the market for longaniza before heading back to Manila.
I think I remember a black Strada who honked at me coming from the opposite direction but I wasn't paying attention. You maybe?
I'm sure we'll bump into each other again in the future. I want to do another road trip but up to Sagada and the Banaue rice terraces next time around. Would also love to do Pulag like you did recently. I really enjoyed the pics of the scenery you took!
Thanks also by the way, for the info about the lift kit. Would love to hear more feedback from you after you've broken it in. Any quick comments about ride and handling? Also, have you measured your new ride height? Curious to know if can still fit in the mall parking buildings in Metro Manila if and when I do install the same kit, or something similar. Please post more pics!!
Thanks in advance!
* mr_incredible, doc jun, ang sabi ko, sana may silhouette ng strada sa foreground. Ang ginawa mo eh, parang lenten message at ang strada natin ... sumalangit nawa, aheheheNice creative try though, hahaha.
* G01, very nice breath-taking shots you posted sir. Sarap ng outdoor living. Parang nalalanghap ko yung fresh mountain air pagtinitingnan ko yung mga posted pics mo.
Aaah, a respite from the polluted airs of Metro Manila.
sir GO1,
the pulag scenes are breathtaking...
your strada with the new lift is also breathtaking...
am looking forward to seeing you on the 16th. ianmitsu sent me a message about a get together, or something like that. i hope you were informed. we have a lot of questions to ask about the scenes and your ride.
ciao....
Sir G01, possible kaya i-off road trip ng strada 4x4 yung campsite from the ranger station?
So it was you! I think I flashed my Strada's headlights when I saw your oncoming Strada sporting the bash plate and then I looked at my mirror as you passed by expecting to see a TSCP sticker at the rear. I think you're going to like the TSCP sticker once it is positioned at the rear window.
Handling of my Strada with the lift kit didn't change much. I guess because my mags and tires are 2" further out on each side. The 32" tires, however, resulted to a sluggish acceleration during start-ups. Not a big deal for me. The Amada shocks from bro Dadz are also too firm for me but handling on smooth curves improved a lot. I do a lot of offroading so I still prefer softer shocks so I replaced them with Rancho RS9000XL shocks yesterday. I am offering my 2-week old Amada Extreme shocks to anybody interested at almost half the price I got from bro Dadz
.
I measured the new height of my Strada a while ago. The rear bed measures 54" from the floor and the hood near the side mirror measures 52" from the floor. I don't have the measurement before it was lifted. I don't think there will be a problem passing thru the malls in Manila.
