Dito na lang ako...

av8or5, the place is in the outskirts of Tagbilaran, Bohol. There are some places here that would have provided more challenge but they are a little bit far kaya dito na lang muna sa malapit. I was back home in one piece in less than 2 hours.
Pol, no change in the steering wheel feel and eveything else remains stock. I drove 60 this pm on a well-paved road and simulated quick overtaking and the truck is as stable as you would wanted it. I sped up to 80 doing much quicker turns and and shocks held the truck up real nice. I have to restrain myself going faster and turning quicker because that would be uncharted territory for me.
Dadz, I'm trying to post more pictures sana kaya lang nagkaproblema ako sa photobucket account ko. Sensya na. Truck did well this pm. No 'oscillations' and bouncing. May mga nadaanan akong mga malalimlalim kanina, steady yung buong truck. Pwede na 'to sa mga bario bario fiesta dito![]()
^ Reminds me..is there any limit on how much a truck can be lifted? Kasi di ba the center of gravity is shifted higher...which consequently 'might' lower down the speed at which a speeding vehicle can turnover.![]()
Yes DonT (am I not contradicting myself here?...hehe just kidding), the higher the vehicle is lifted, the more unstable it becomes. Now as to the threasholds before safety is breached, that I don't know. Let's hear the experts' take on this.
Another thing that makes 'tall' vehicles unstable is uneven height, which is very much prevalent on our stradas. I saw one parked at MOA. I can't see how the owner seem not to care na parang flat isang gulong kung maka-tagilid yung sasakyan. So I urge everyone to take measurements on all 4 corners of your stradas.
I'm not the type who backs off from a dare...so with sir ooba99's encouragement, I went again to this site this morning and drove my truck all the way straight up that hill...complete with loose gravel, jutting jagged edged rocks, seemingly insurmountable boulders and confusing thicket. The trail (or lack of one) ripped my tires to shreds but I'm planning naman talaga to buy MIkey Thompsons (waaah). Nah, I made this all up.

Congratulations for making it to the top of that hill! O di ba, sisiw lang.
Now you are ready for a more challenging route... real off-road.
We have one club member from Tagbilaran... egaysky. You may want to interact with him whenever you are in Bohol. Judging from his profile, he looks like the outdoor and adventurous type of person.
Also, when you are here in Manila, you may want to join us in one of our club's EB.![]()
sir Jet, yan ang tamang gamit ng strada natin!! hehehehehe nice to have you join the club of members who push their trucks to the limit!!! ehehehhehehe
ingat lang sir pag gagawa ka ng sarili mong trail....basic rule of 4x4 trail is wlak thru the proposed trail first to see the condstion and obstacles.
have a great time!!!
Sirs, linawin ko lang na I didn't went straight up that hill as told (and suggested by the pics). I did was able to get to the top (it's a cell site, I think) but I took a long detour...Kwentong 'yung lolo ko mas magaling' lang yun. And yung Mikey thompson, pangarap lang yun
G01, wala lang kasing magawa for the next several days. One nice thing dito sa probinsya is that is seems all destinations are w/in easy reach kasi walang traffic.
Thanks for the valuable tip, Arvin Crisiti. I'm a novice on this thing kaya hinay-hinay lang ako.
ooba99, thanks for the invite. Yep, egaysky is from our place. Our schedules just wouldn't allow us to meet kasi he's also abroad most of the time. Yes sir, someday I'll join your EB's, thanks again!
Bro jet a-1 maganda trail yan hehehehehehe kamusta naman po yung shock can you give me any comment.
Dadz, shocks did well in rough roads. Walang bouncing pag nag-negotiate ng malalim na lubak. As I've said in my previous post, it held the the truck up real nice. Truck (especially the rear) sways before with the old shocks during high speed lateral movements but now, I hardly felt it after I did quick turns at moderate speeds. I don't know if the ladder-type chasis needs reinforcement but the shocks definitely helps. And not that I drive that way but I just would want to make sure I and the truck can do it if the need arises. Ride's a bit stiffer alright but I'll trade that to a much more stable ride...anytime. This said, mitsu was able to strike a really good compromise between stability and ride quality in the strada compared to other pickups, stock for stock
ianmitsulancer, I'm just chilling out here in the province. My kidz suggested we spent a day or two in our househelps' place this summer. Their place is really what we call far-flung, they have to walk 7kms to reach their house kase grabe daw kalubak at mabato yung daan.
mdksael, I was a frequent visitor there in balilihan during my cockfighting days. Yep, your surname sounds familiar. I know of one jenifer way back during my elem days in HSS. See you soon kabayan![]()
Im glad that you are satisfied with the shock hope it's well worth for your money, keep on trailing my friend and enjoy the outdoor.
Keep In Mind This 3 Simple Rule...............
1Kill nothing but time
2Leave nothing but foot prints/tire prints
3Take nothing but pictures
Best of luck in you 4wheeling adventures.
