Sir spyke, may I ask when and where did you witnessed a new strada's transmission being disengaged for repair?Saan pong casa?
Just like sir av8or5's observation, we have not encountered any major transmission problem except for 1 or 2 minor cases in the past but were all remedied by the casas. We say they are isolated cases. The 2 instances were all 2007 releases if I'm not mistaken. I have not heard of any transmission complaints for the 2008 and 2009 releases. Anybody?
Mine is unsual here the phils. but common in australia and new zealand. usually on 3.2 engines.
- surging/jerking (weird throttle)/ sudden engine braking.
AND UNTIL NOW IT'S UNRESOLVED. supposedly, intermittent problems/symptoms should be taken seriously by mitsu because it's a tell-tale sign of a manufacturing or quality defect. just like your cellfone, if the problem is intermittent, it's more likely a factory defect and the authorized outlet would immediately replace the unit if under warranty or repair the unit and not let the owner suffer in misery over a defective product.
i'm planning to buy kaya research ako..
Sir wulf_geo, I hope your landtrip to Luzon with nismo26 pushes through so the Strada Club people here in Manila can assess your vehicle. The Club can probably make an assessment report and certification that you can use to further your cause. We can discuss that further if you are here.![]()

Question lang peeps: I recently filled my Strada to full tank. I hardly go beyond 3/4 before, NOW it's obvious na di pantay ang stance niya. Mas malalim ang driver side, lalo na pag umupo pa ako.
Is this normal? Or should I go to casa which we all hate to do and ask for a shock replacement?
Please reco a good casa. I'm sick and tired with Mitsu Otis Service. They suck big time.
Thanks in advance.
Ako rin. I brought mine to SFM San Pablo, pero they told me they haven't encountered such complaint. Kaya di masyado alam kung ano gagawin. Pinakita ko pa yung photocopy nung kay sir apollo kafka.
Which casa has done several coil spring/leaf spring replacement for uneven stance? Perhaps, they know better how to handle the issue...
Looks like you got the dreaded uneven stance, hehehe. Suggestion lang, go to any casa and ask them to measure the heights. Let them be the one to document that the height is uneven. When they have done that then ask what remedy they recommend. Do not settle for anything but a replacement of parts under warranty. Cite to them the numerous stradas that were affected and were replaced in other casas without question.
I hope maayos na strada mo.
Total driving hours from Baguio City is around 3 hours 45 minutes including some stop-overs (sight-seeing, picture-taking, and lunch). Distance from the Petron gas station near the BGH to the Ranger Station recorded by my Strada’s MID is 70 kilometers. Road from the National highway to Ambangeg is a mixture of concrete and dirt road. From Ambangeg, the road starts from concreted then it will be a mixture of concreted tire path, dirt and rough road surfaces. Had to engage and disengage 4wd depending on the road surface. We stopped by at the Ranger Station to have a chat with the officer. We were told that we can drive further up so we continued driving till we reached the end of the road. We parked the Strada and then walked a short distance just to take a glimpse of Mount Pulag. My wife and I did this trip only to check the road condition for our next Pulag trip this coming weekend with our kids who will be having their summer vacation and with some relatives who’re very keen in joining us.
