I think another BOSB who can answer your question is wakeboarder- since he hauled a boad and his heavy artillery. i asked him about that once re the heaviest piece of equipment he carried and he replied. naduduling ako sa backread and my firewall is still acting up. Look for all posts from him.
i did sit down on the tailgate and i weight (ahem) 210lbs and it handled it with out and stress sign/overstretching of the metal. i tried looking for that at the owners manual... wala so far. IMO, it should be able to handle MORE than 400lbs- the payload of the New Outlander's lower tailgate.

mga BOSB's, saan pa kaya makakakuha ng spare tire lock aside from carryboy? ideas how much?
i also asked carryboy about the roller cover a few months ago and they said hindi daw nila dadlhin dito, tinatanong ko nga kung bakit pero ayaw naman nila sabihin sa akin..
Sir thepatriarch, you have pm.
sir ericsiomai, the heaviest i have loaded on my bed was roughly 2 tons, arond 2000kg, tingala nga lang yung saskyan ko ang hutok na hutok mga molye, but otherwise kayangkaya niya. as for the tailgate, do remember that it's just held by 2 hinges and 5mm steel cables on the sides, it could handle roughly 3/4 tons, around 750kg, but i wouldnt really try to max it out for safety reasons.

i'm planning on towing 2 jetskis but hindi ko pa alam kung papano ko ikakabit ang tow ball and hinges kasi i got it before for my old pathfinder... since pick up naman sila pareho and molye ang rear suspension i bet kasya naman siguro. but in any case, sir arvin and wakeboarder, what are your equipments of choice for the towing? and...
to everyone out there, any suggestions on how i can strengthen the support of my tailgate? apat kami nakaupo dun and we are roughly about 200lbs each and napansin ko na mejo stressed na nga siya. how can i strengthen this?
salamat po!

March 4th, 2008 11:03 PM #4280maybe,but that only deals with the wiring, hahanapan ka nila ng butas if something happen, but I know better how to preserve my own things , install in personally and make sure everything is in capacity, u know what umaasa lang cla sa mga workers nila which is a trainee, once pinagawa ko sa kanila yun malfunction ng door actuator sa driver side, nasira pa nila yun door lock na plastic, kaya nireklamo ko sa mitsu. then nag install cla tpms, nag loose naman.bara bara, palibasa d nila personal. pero sabi ng kasa tungkol sa turbo timer na ininstall void daw no matter where, by then if ur not installing turbo timer, masira turbo mo after warranty. mahal ang turbo. naka tie up ang winterpine sa original accesories na kasama sa car but beyond that la din cla pananagutan.
Good to know nito, maka order nga. Paubos na yung windshield washer fluids sa mga units ko.
