The carryboy dealer told me that the sportlid with rollbars may not be as rainproof as the one without the rollbars. The water may seep in at the portion where the rollbars meet the lid. But you can ask the dealer about it.

Personally, the utility box is much better if you don't want your gears to get wet. The jumbo size can accomodate 2 sacks of rice easily. The only drawback is, because of its size, you won't see the lip of the tailgate which you use as a guide when backing up. I plan to put reverse sensor for this problem.

depends siguro sa pag kabit. naka kabit na kami ng GSM sa hi-lux ok naman. kailangan lang gamitan ng silicone sealant. but it looks nicer than the sportlid lang without the rollbar.

Does not work for me. This is why i'm getting the connector nalang. Will have it installed next week.

BTW, i have a 5.5 gen Ipod video 80GB and it is maintained by a macbook. Ito siguro ang dahilan kung bakit di sya gumagana.

malamang baka na-format ng Mac mo sa file format exclusive for Mac OS. originally kasi ipods are windows-formatted.

hindi kaya lahat ng mga songs mo puro .aac/.m4a ang file extension? kasi the JVC HU only plays .mp3 and .wma file extensions. alam ko kasi default file extension ng iTunes para sa mga songs .aac/.m4a

Halos lahat ng music files ko ay mp3. Gumagana naman sila pag ginagamit ko yung usb slot using my usb stick.

I beg to disagree. Why would apple format their ipods using windows? Hindi logical.
    Sorry for the OT.

    Good AM New Strada Owners!

Just got our majestic red strada gls m/t yesterday. it took us almost 2mos to get this unit. a/t lang kasi available and wala pa red sa dealer namin. pero worth naman paghintay kasi nakasama sa package yung toolbox.. hehe

Thanks to all tsikoteers for the inputs! Big factor talaga yung mga reviews, feedbacks niyo for us to decide to get this unit.

Thanks and more power to tsikot.com!

For those interested in Ipod interface / connector for GLS JVC head unit, I inquired from Maxx Energie Ventures ( 817-6317 / 892-8980 ) , and they said it is available at P6,200. Medyo mahal ! ! Bili na lang ako ng 2 gig usb flash drive ! !

These are the guys who had a booth at the Transhow early this year at Megamall and at that time I was able to get an Ipod interface for my CRV for around 3,500.

For the info of Ipod fanatics . . .

Try doing a search in the car comparisons forum. This is the Strada thread. Expect answers to be biased.

My wife went to Laoag with her aunt and cousins Monday and came back the following day. I then got feedbacks from them and they said that the ride was really car-like. My wife and her aunt, who was in her 70's, even rode in the rear and they were able to sleep comfortably well. The fuel they consumed was only a little less than P3k. Bilib na talaga ako. Comfort in long rides and fuel economy to boot.
