    Sir Drey/DonT,
Talaga bang hard starting ang mga Mits strada. I have my 2.5L GLS strada just 3 weeks ago, napansin ko medyo matagal bago mag start (esp. during morning), it takes 3-4clicks before it starts. Dinala namin sa casa for check up for any possible problems, sabi ng tchn wala naman daw problema, talagang ganyan lang daw kasi diesel. Im bit worried kasi yung crosswind ko diesel din naman, one click lang start kaagad. Please advise. tnx

Sir, i know exactly what you mean. pero gaano ba kahard starting? as in everytime you start? sakin kasi usually pag umaga at malamig engine pero d naman palagi. had the same worry when i got mine pero battery lang yan. forgot the brand medyo tinatamad ako tingnan ngayon.. yung stock battery talaga ng mitsu ganun kasi same sa Gen 3 pajero ng cousin ko, medyo hard starting din nung brand new. Then eventually it was time for him to change so he replaced it 2 weeks ago tapos 1 click na rin ngayon.

Sir, di naman palagi, Sa umaga lang siya hard starting. Pero sometimes it starts right away. baka sa battery lang siguro, as you mentioned. Pwede paki-post kung anong magandang battery para sa strada, when you have time. Saraming salamat sir.

Pero. if it does not start the first time, we slightly push or nudge the car just a little bit while its on the 1st gear. And then we try again. 90% of the time, its starts on the 2nd try. if it does'nt, push lang ulit.

Sometimes he can get away just by rocking the car forward and backwards while seated inside.
The verdict is, palitan na daw dapat ang iginition coil. Anyway, ayaw pa ng brod ko eh..coz he already knows what to do with it. He says he will change it by the end of the year.

Finally got my Strada last Thursday. It’s a 3.2 a/t in cool silver.

Last Saturday night, barely two days after acquiring my ride, at around 11:00 p.m., on my way home from Manila to Quezon City, I had my Strada put to a test. It was raining, but I did not realized that it rained that hard in the Sampaloc area. On Espana St. going to Q.C. just before the railroad tracks, I noted that several vehicles, including jeepneys were piling up. The segment between the tracks and Maceda St. up to Blumentritt St. was flooded. Small cars were U-turning to avoid the flood. When it was my turn to see the flooded street, I saw that it was quite deep because I can’t see the center island. That segment of Espana was like a river. Even jeepneys were hesitant to cross the flood. But I was already there and I have no recourse but to head on. I just said to myself, this is one of the reasons why I decided to buy a Strada. I went on smoothly past some stranded vehicles without a hitch until I went past Maceda. From this point to Blumentritt St it was a cinch. I hurdled the flood with flying colors! Didn’t even have to use the 4x4 capability of my truck.

I finally got home safe and sound in Quezon City where it was bone dry. Weird weather.

Di ako nagkamali, I got one hell of a reliable ride. I would have not done so crossing that deep flood if was a brand new Honda CRV that I got (my other choice).

Just sharing my first significant experience with my new Strada.
