Dito sa amin dalawa na ang nag-benta ng unit nila, yung isa nga barely one month from the casa.

The one that I drove last month had defective rear shocks and then parang excessive swaying ang rear when loaded. The other one had some electronics problems like on/off ang display ng lcd console daw tsk tsk.

So far the engine is ok naman daw.

The intercooler isn't open... it's just a heat exchanger. Kahit lubog siya ng buo, walang papasok na tubig. The air intake is up high pa rin.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Normal driving lang. Hi-way cruising at 100 to 120 kph - no strain on the engine since only 2000 rpm to sustain 100 kph. Have brought it up to 140 kph on few occasions, and observed it to be very stable. Only 850 kms on the odometer so far and will bring it in for first 1,000 km service next week.

Pick up is pretty strong and overtakes quickly. The trick is not to "baby" the accel pedal. Give it a punch and it will downshift and and take off. As I mentioned in earlier posts, it may outrun my 3.0 CRDiTrooper. Will know for sure after the break-in period.

No problems encountered and performance exceeds my expectations - so far. Averaging at least 9km/L city driving and over 12km/L highway. Think this is pretty good for a big, heavy, and strong automatic.

Installed window visors and hood stone guard so far. Next project is to upgrade tires to 265 or 275 from the stock 245/70x16. Will continue to use the original mags.

Will keep you posted on my observations.

See the owner's manual under running-in section. There's a speed limit for each gear, but my own guidelines are: avoid sudden acceleration and sudden engine braking, don't exceed 3000rpm, and don't stay at high speeds for a long time. Para bang sinusundot lang yung allowed topspeed for each gear. Hindi ko sinusunod yung hanggang 80 kph lang according to the sales agent.

I've logged in about 2,200 kms so far. As much as possible I try to avoid high rpms while the engine is cold and until the temperature guage reaches the midline (optimum temperature). Pag mainit na, pwede nang ibirit.

Fully agree with Drave's advice. This will apply whether you have a manual or automatic. Mataas na yung 3,000 rpm - sustaining this level will bring you to almost 150 kph on the GLS Automatic.

Its good to vary your rpm - tama yung pasundot-sundot. With an auto, once you get the hang of it, you will be able to make up or downshifts by just using the accelerator pedal.

Also, with an automatic there is less chance of over-revving the engine - so long as you keep the transmission in DRIVE.

I wouldn't worry too much about "wrong" break-in. ENJOY YOUR NEW STRADA MITSUMIA !

Hello to the all-new strada owners.

Just got my gray Strada GLS A/T today. I'm loving it so far.

Tried connecting my Ipod to the USB slot, di naman ma-read.

Kung wala talaga syang kasamang connector, where can I buy one coz the HU is Ipod ready.

Hope you guys can help me out. TIA.

Nakabili ako ng Ipod connector sa www.kotseaudioclub.com . I just scanned the for sale forums. Hindi original Pioneer pero gumagana naman. Mga Php1k lang (second hand). Brand new orig is around Php2,000.00.

Wala po akong Strada. Sa sasakyan po ng kapatid ko ginamit. Hindi din Strada pero Pioneer ang HU.

if you installed your Ipod sa usb slot/port, change mo source to usb. hindi yan automatic na tutunog agad ang stereo from the usb. just like choosing from Radio, CD, Cahnger etc.

I tried this just now, and it won't work. "read fail" ang lumalabas sa screen. I think it really needs a separate wire that connects to the back of the HU. Problem is I don't know where to get the connector. Any ideas?

JVC ba brand ng HU mo? pag JVC may USB slot na siya sa rightmost corner ng HU... sa akin ok naman pagsinaksak ko iPod lumalabas check tapos after 50 secs magpeplay na iPod ko.... well hindi mo nga lang siya i-play according to what you want... nagshushuffle lahat ng songs mo sa iPod pag nakaconnect sa HU ng strada....

Kenwood kasama ng mga strada. it might be the wire of the USB is not connected properly or just a matter of configuration ng HU. Try to locate the problem by reading the manual na lang.
