^^^ this might be a similar case to mike18...

*wulf_geo: please keep an eye on the timeframe it will take for the truck to be repaired! and you shouldn't be charged a single peso for any quality/warranty claim... and if you think it is taking longer than the usual, ask for a service unit for you to use.

battery of tests, huh. please also take note of the kilometers they added on your odometer.

Hello ninong arvin, tuloy ka ba sa Davao City this month?

Dalawa na interested to be club members from Davao, namely ms. piggyprincess and XFORMER. You can probably arrange an EB with them if matutuloy ka and list them up to become members. Thanks.

mga sire, normal lang a mga diesel engines ang parang nag-eengine breaking when you release the accelerator especially when in 1st or 2nd gear. this can be noticed in majority of diesel vehicles with manual trannys. may ibang vehicle makes na hindi mo mapapansin ito pero majority pa din yung ramdam ang engine break, so like stated earlier by some of our friends, sanayan lang talaga ang paggamit ng diesel na sasakyan.

sir sensya na at hindi pa ako nakakapag update ng punta ko sa davao. medyo nagkaproblema kasi yung mga kakausapin ko regarding the project/contract that they were going to offe to me. i was supposed to operate and maintain a mine in iligan and bukidnon, but when the hostilities started the foreign proponent of the project pulled out their support and staff indefinitely, kaya yung mine is either on hold indefinitely of talagang shelved na.

but i am still setting up another meeting with my colleagues there, so if and when i already have a definite schedule, i will definitely be posting it here.

    ingat lagi mga sir!!!

naturally, may engine brake talaga after you release the throttle. the quicker you release the throttle the harder it would brake, that's normal. but my observation is different, the engine brakes even after i already release the throttle for sometime- this is abnormal. there are times na the RPM still increases even i already release the throttle.

To my understanding, the drive-by-wire throttle system and the electronic engine manegement system should yield a more refined, accurate and predictable engine performance compared to the traditional cable controls. i maybe wrong with my strada.

I'm not an expert but in my vehicle lancer 2006 its happen also RPM still increases even i already release the throttle. unlike the old vehicle when you release the throttle it will down on the normal RPM immediately. I think its happen when the aircon was engaged.. diba when you start the vehicle then turning ON the aircon the RPM increase by itself without pressing the throttle? i don't know i maybe wrong to this.. any expert on this matter?

*wulf_geo - the main question is: Does the Strada have Drive by Wire Technology? I think so, i could be wrong. But I'll try to look this up.

IMO, But if it has DBW technology it should have been refined by now actually. this is also incorporated with the computer box as well as conjoined/imbedded/interlinked with the ETACS (where bluemica had an issue with some months back). should you visit your truck in the coming days, please ask them if they are touched it thru the M.U.T. (i forgot what it means) that they have to plug to your strada- usually located underneath the dashboard driver's side.

OT *alainroyce- this is quite technichal in nature already but i'll give it a shot- i could be wrong... I hope it helps...

The ECI-Multi if im not mistaken also senses/controls the throttle opening. It can also sense if the A/C is on by stabilizing the idle- a normal carbureted engine just makes the idle go down. this can also be checked by the MUT. it might need adjustment/calibration po sir. The issue i had with my Space Wagon was the other way around. the idle was dropping below normal levels that led to the replacement of the idle servo- but the ECI-Multi is still ok.

Ganito rin napapansin ko, around 2-3 seconds after I release the accelerator, may engine braking sa 1st-2nd gears. Pero I notice this usually early in the am lang. Though I'm not bothered. After a while, wala na. Kaya baka normal lang sa diesel engine, lalo na kung bigger engine.

*sir Ian. thanks man. actually, we done so many diagnostics with the MUT3 reader, in one instance naka kabit while we're having a roadtest. this week, the dealer will continue with their MUT3 tests.

    * Sir Boz. i try to admit na ok lang pag early morning startup but mine is annoyingly and upredictably showing up the whole day and all night. Mitsu already explained that its the raw power of the engine, and am not totally sold-out sa explanation becoz i know how a normal engine brake works, how to control it and even make it work to my advantage. what is abnormal is i dont know when its gonna engine brake, sometimes immediately after throtle release, sometimes 2 seconds after and sometimes none at all, it keeps surging forward.

    * Sir Alain

Thanks bro. i hope to enjoy my ride and this issue will be resolved soon. either them fixing the problem or giving me a full refund.
