from recent reports, it would seem na 2009 models na nga ang release ng casa ngayon. and since aware na sila dun sa mga naging problems ng earlier released models, mukhang napalitan na nila yung mga defective parts. that would be great news for the new owners who can really enjoy their stradas sans the usual previous complaints.

2009 model na nga ng strada ang display sa casa dito andaya! kakukuha ko lang ng unit ko last july naluma na agad! hahahahaha

Good evening sa lahat ng strada owners and strada club members

been reading the thread for quite sometime. This forum is very informative and helpful sa mga katulad ko na gusto malaman ang performance and common problems ng strada. Reading the thread gives me an idea on the car. Ask ko lang po , Im here in cebu and my wife and I decided to buy the red strada glx. Is it true that the new stradas are 2009 model? Corrected na po bah yong mga problems like the squeaking left spring and the steering problem? based on the last few pages of forum medyo wala na problems posted. Sabi kasi ng SA na ang claims daw nila regarding steering usually happen sa mga strada's na malalaki mags and tires. If stock lang daw wala naman daw problems.
Please advice. And Thank you Strada owners and strada club…

Wrong info from your SA. The others had their steering problems occuring even on stock wheels. Maybe, Mitsu has already corrected the problem on the newer models as we have not been hearing this problem anymore.

As to the size of the tires, some here even had improvement in handling when they put thicker tires. I think the stock tires are too thin for the power of the pickup.

Bakit parang dumadami pa rin ang strada sa kalye kahit na naririrning nila yung complaints natin?

Sulit na sulit yung sa akin, mapa-kargahan man o pasyalan. Wala pang sakit ng ulo. Yung GS battery ko nga, 2 years na sa November, ni hindi ko pa nare-refill yung distilled water, malakas pa rin. Parang keeper ko na yata ang spaceship ko.

The body design is revolutionary for a pick-up, and can last 10 years easily. It's hard to improve upon it, not even a facelift nor a make-over. They have to change the whole body design for the next strada, IMO.

I plan to change to OME suspension next year if the budget permits, and, most likely, put unichip and alcohol injection when the warranty expires. Sana meron din ARB rear lockers (wishful thinking)

a 3.2 GLS Sport M/T does abour 12kms/liter while an A/T variant does about 10-11km/liter. (highway figures)

i reconfirmed this with my MMPC friend at the motorshow- the only change with the 2009 Strada is the side park light from amber to clear. No more, no less- externally speaking. It is out on sale already as proven by recent posters. Although he did not state any other improvements, but i will take the benefit of the doubt that the multiple (suspension, steering, etc) issues have been addressed and probably has been carried on with the highly anticipated Montero Sport - since like the Alterra/Dmax, Fortuner/Hilux, Everest/Ranger combos share common mechanichal and some external and internal components. ([SIZE=1]If anyone has time research on Thailand's Pick-up based Passenger Vehicle or PPV policy that has been revised in 2005[/SIZE]).

What is even weird is that the red GLS Sport used in the motorshow is still the amber 2008 model.

*alainroyce - hmmm... thoretically speaking, its just that the engine is getting used to the biodiesel mixture. since your engine passed through that phase then i think it is ok to have biodiesel again... i could be wrong.

^ That's kinda lame upgrade from the 2008 version of the Strada. IMHO, thats poor marketing. Its just like introducing a Nokia N95 with a new clear housing and calling it 2009 N95.

They could have been more creative like upgrading the stereo, mags, tires, lights to HID or even tuning up the computer to give more power.

Already inquired from RATS re: ARB lockers. There are no lockers for the rear, only for the front.

... as per verification by sir ianmitsulancer, nagrelease na nga ng 09 model which has minor modifications. i think clear na yung front turn lights and may binagong konti sa interior...

If indeed, the 2009 model is already out for sale, I'm thinking of getting the 2009 GLX, instead of 2008 GL. Anyway, no payment has been made yet and papers are still in the process. But what is quite amusing is when I talked to the SA and asked if we can get a GL with clear turn lights and clear side park light (I didn't say 2009 model), hindi na raw pwede kasi naka-"tagged" na raw iyong GL 2008 na binibigay sa amin. But when I asked -what if we upgrade it to GLX, baka pwede raw.... tsk,tsk,tsk

Does anybody here knows about other internal modifications of the 2009 GL/GLX?

Does the GLX has a alloy/mags spare tire na? thank you all.

Ang daya naman diyan meron nag 2009 na strada dito wala, ang pinaka bago is the plus na luma na din and the other 4x4 na merong automatic na aircon. hehehehehehe.

To be honest, 500 pesos for membership, i think is quite fair sa lahat ng information you could get. this group could also be use as a tool for consumer rights, kay we need an organization to protect us, and if a group can do that i believe mitsu philippines would improve in the following areas, customer service relations,(wala ng masungit na Service advisor), faster action with car claims and most of all the best people to evaluate a certain product is directly asking the consumers or the users of their product, baka ang mitsu strada 2010 ay naka HID na, tapos may 5.1 dvd entertainment, or naka chrome plated na 20 inches na ang mags, Ok lang na kumita ang mistu philippines but they have to make sure that their customers are satisfied sa kanilang products and well taken cared.

go for GLX nalang sir with the fog lamps,stepping board/bumper and mags na with airbag pa,and if im not mistaken 70k lang yung difference.

* romdm - to what i know the spare tire of a GLX 4x2 is still the steel rim and the tire is of the same size with the 4 touching the ground. The only model that has the standard magwheel for a spare is the 3.2 GLS Sport M/T and A/T. But if u wish to have a magwheel rim for your spare, pls consult with Fellow BOSBs av8or5 or Thepatriarch... as for the interior modifications, as of now, no information was disclosed about that, the audio head unit from alpine was actually an upgrade for this year 2008. modifications would just be minor lang po. Also, it seems that most posters here (including me) are rooting for you to get the GLX...

No internal modifications from 2008 to 2009 models. GLX has steel rims with 205/80/16 tires...
