Nice pics sir nismo26!... its good to know that ok na strada mo after changing your tires... ganda talaga na black strada, hehehe

welcome to the thread sir lamanansala. as per verification by sir ianmitsulancer, nagrelease na nga ng 09 model which has minor modifications. i think clear na yung front turn lights and may binagong konti sa interior.
anong color ng strada mo and from where are you?
Just want to ask if anybody has experienced this. Last Sunday, the family decided to go to Clark. Combination of pasyal and taking the Strada for a drive. Since 2 months old palang, medyo hataw ng konti sa NLEX. Reached a max. speed of 140 kph with no problem tapos cruising na lang at 100kph. I began to notice na at 100 kph me strange sound coming from the left front side of the car. Best way to describe it, parang kumakaskas na lata. Akala ko, it maybe the wheels kasi nagpalit ako ng mags and wheels (245 x 70 x 16) and nagpakabit din ng fender liners. Pero wala naman akong nakitang signs of scrapping. Also, sound is intermitent and only appears when travelling 100 kph and up. Below 100 kph, no sound at all. Should I be worried? Hope to hear your thoughts on this. TIA
zurg656: sir, check ninyo yung fender flares ninyo..make sure it was installed properly and it's tight. Thepatriarch also experience almost the same thing over 100kph. But it was his aftermarket hood deflector that was making the noise, one of the clip wasn't snuggled tight so due to wind, it made buffling sounds, but no problem after. I have no problem with mine having both aftermarket fender flares and same tire size. check ninyo na lang sir mga iba pang parts sa ride ninyo.maybe something might be loose (plates, fog lamp cover, fender flares, any under cover, etc.)
dadz: sorry to hear about your ride sir, I hope the damage wasn't that big.
wulf_geo: sir, it's really up to you, but yeah..mickeys are really good looking and proven quality. You could have asked sir Nismo anong brand sa kanya.muhkang happy naman sya sa tires ninya sir.
Nismo: at least you got to meet up with another Strada Owner..nice pics...love them shoes.
lamanansala: best is to refer to your registration..it would indicate the model of your vehicle if its 08 or 09. Again, as per my SA there are no 09 out yet, but it's also best to just inquire at other dealers to find out if 08 or early 09 ang strada ninyo... 6 months from the release of 08 is very close to have 09 models released..but if changing the color of the turn light/headlamps assembly means having it 09 model, then by all means..its 09..but regardless, you have chosen the right truck.
Tnx bro av8or5 medyo okay lang ang damage ko the whole left side from fender to rear ginasgas tig 2 pa ang both left side door plus binali ang radio transiver antenna ko sa front and binasag ang fog lamps ko.
*alainroyce tama si bro av8or5 check mo mga nilagay na accesories kasi less 100km/h the wind is not enough to shake things up and above 100km/h plus the wind is to strong kaya insted na me tumunog mas lalo siyang na fix kaya walang sound, but 100km/h is just enough to make some things shake and make some noise or sound that is the aerodynamics but no need to worry, unless the sound is coming from under the truck or in the engine bay.
sir kung yan ang only options ninyo mag mickeys na kayo kasi halos same price na lang rin and may masama akong experience with michelin na bumubukol after a while kaya pumutok ang gulong ng 4runner ko dati sa zambales. why not check out other tires na rin. i heard ang cooper tires ay maganda rin and they're about the same specs and price ng mickeys as well as nitto and apache. bridgestone wala rin problema and i have good feedbacks for apache and firestone. if you'd want to learn more check out GTD at banawe, kahilera ng bdo.![]()
would like to thank everybody for the quick response. Will do as recommended and give feedback once done. Tamang tama long weekend na naman. I can give it another road test. Sana makita ko yung diperensya.
Thanks again guys, this is really one heck of a group. BOSB nga kayo.![]()
hi guys...
so far so good
i think the jack hammer feel is when you hit a rough road
we must accept that it's part of the strada
i know what ms. piggy princess feel when she goes to GenSan.
I hope when i change my front shock
it would be more comfortable.
So far, strada is not so tiring to drive but toooooooooooooo
exciting.... hehehehheee
p.s
Congrats on your new ride..
I read an article from a magazine from Doc Glen's office, and if i remember it correctly, it says our ride has what they call road sensitive R&P steering. I guess that's why we can feel imperfection on the road. It's a characteristic of our Strada to be able to feel what we are driving on. So it's something some of us needs to get used with. I hope ma scan na yung article so we can post that exerps. I tried online and found the article, but the article online has that part missing. I find it weird that the article printed is different from the web version. hmmmm...
on the wiper issue...cool feature nga... it becomes constant wiper instead of intermittent once you go over 60kph. Whoever posted this discovery..thanks
another feature of our ride for those who wasn't able to back-read. You will hear a buzzer sound if one of your door is ajar and you start driving off... another is our headlight has a cut-off feature so we wont be leaving it on by accident...meron pa nga delay..but somehow.hindi ko na nagawa yun..i dont know why...it could be because i have a TT.
Saw this on web. baka ito yung sinsabi ni Sir av8or5..
Improvement in power steering mechanisms it may be used in other kinds of power steering gears for automotive vehicles. The steering gear structure comprises a rack-and-pinion steering gear mechanism in which the gear rack is connected operatively to a steering gear linkage and to the piston of a fluid motor. The rack engages drivably a drive pinion that is connected to a driver
operated steering shaft through a torsion rod. A rotary valve mechanism comprising a valve sleeve and an inner valve member controls distribution of pressure from a power steering pump to the fluid motor of the rack-and-pinion steering gear mechanism.
The inner valve member of the rotary valve mechanism is connected to the steering shaft and the valve sleeve with which the inner valve member cooperates is connected to the pinion. Angular deflection of the torsion rod results in relative
displacement of the inner valve member with respect to the valve sleeve thereby establishing controlled pressure distribution to the fluid motor.
A power steering pump of the kind adapted for use with the present
The pump contains a flow control valve that establishes a constant flow delivery to the power steering gear regardless of the vehicle speed. The rotor of the pump is connected to the crankshaft of the engine through a belt drive, but the varying engine speed during vehicle operation will not cause a corresponding change in the rate of delivery of pressurized fluid to the steering gear because of the operation of the flow control valve.
In the present made rack and pinion provision for reducing the flow delivery to the steering gear by introducing a speed sensitive bypass valve in cooperation with a constant flow valve so that a constant part of the pressurized fluid delivered by the pump to the steering gear is subtracted thereby causing an increased road feel and reduced power consumption at high road speeds. The bypass valve may be triggered by a speed sensitive electronic module which moves the valve toward a closed position during operation of the vehicle at speeds less than a predetermined value and which moves the valve toward a more open position at higher speeds.
Question:
considering the same specs, will a H/T (highway tires) tires get better fuel consumption than an A/T (all terain) tires?
i think there was a discussion on this soooooo many pages ago, but here goes....
considering that all specs are the same except for the thread pattern.... YES A/T tires add more to your fuel consumption as compared to H/T tires, and the same goes when you use an M/T(which is what i currently use). this is because of the bigger thread Lug pattern, these are what some people call ngipin ng mga gulong nila(for what reason i don't know) basically speaking, the finer your thread pattern the smaller the wind resistance, thus it doesn't add aditional strain on the engine to turn the wheels.
i've basically tried all tire types except for thee slick tyres. All these tires have their own pros and cons, and usually it all boils down to an owners preference. M/T's look mean and macho, but they're harder and add more to your fuel consumption. A/T's offer the best of two worlds and are a hell of a lot cheaper than M/T's. H/T's are the best to use if you're just a city warrior.
To add, less friction ang HT compared to AT kaya better fuel consumption... also, it would seem na lighter ang HT sa AT kaya less engine power is needed to turn them
Maraming mga strada owners dito sa GENSAN yon nga lang walang pang strada club,he,he,he. Medyo lay low muna sa biyahe ngayon kasi biglang sinasara ang mga daan due to security reasons.
Bro lamanansala i see the news diyan sa pinas bro ingat lang baka madamay sa gulo. Sayang ang truck mo, ingat na rin ikaw.
